I have a Christian mentor who is like an aunt to me. She expresses the love of Jesus in her actions and is always there for me. No matter what situation I’m facing, she always gives me words of wisdom, hope, and encouragement. I am forever grateful for this sister in Christ.

As women, many things can bring us down. Sadly, even other women can hurt our feelings and shatter our confidence. As followers of the Lord, we must choose to be kind even if others do not respond with kindness.

The apostle Peter said, “Do not return evil for evil, or insult for insult; but instead, repay evil with blessing, for this you were called to inherit the blessing” (1 Peter 3:9).

Let’s go to pray to the Lord today. In prayer, we can exalt our sisters in Christ, turn them to Jesus, and encourage them to seek fellowship. Here are eight prayers for your sisters in Christ.

1. Prayer for community

Dear God, everyone needs community with other believers. Help my sisters in Christ to find a church that loves and faithfully follows You. equip them to be your hands and feet to their congregation. When they go to church, give them a mindset of “what can I do for church,” not “what can I get from church?”

Change their hearts to reflect yours. Let them be inspired by the Bible and learn new things about you. Disciple them and help them grow into the image of your Son. Bring their hearts to you and refine them in fire. Amen.

2. Prayer to know their worth

Dear God, we are all your workmanship (Ephesians 2:10). Sadly, many of my sisters in Christ do not know this. They think their worth is tied to their appearance, success, or relationship status. Help them understand that their worth lies within you. Help them understand that they don’t have to lose weight, wear new clothes, or constantly chase the highest paying job.

Take comfort in their worth. Bless them with your grace and love. Help them feel good about themselves instead of always thinking they need to improve. Father, help them to see themselves as You see them. God, I praise You. Amen.

3. Prayer to know that God loves them

Dear God, we are all deeply loved by You (Romans 8:38-39). Unfortunately, many of my sisters in Christ doubt your love. They believe you don’t love them because they went through difficult times. Some people even think you hate them. Please change this mindset in their minds.

Let them know you love them. Guide their minds to the Bible and bring their minds to a state of tranquility. Always remember what your love has revealed to them in the past: an answered prayer, an unexpected blessing, or a new start. God, thank you for loving us. Amen.

4. Prayer to know that God is always with them

Dear God, when I talk to my sisters in Christ, they often doubt your presence. It’s hard for them to realize you’re there because they can’t feel you. Help them rely on what they know rather than how they feel. God, you are always with us. You walk with us through the mountains and valleys (Psalm 23:1-6).

Bring them inner peace knowing that You are always with them. Whether they travel far from home or never leave their hometown, you are with them. It is wonderful to know that you are always with us, protecting us and surrounding us with your comfort. In your son’s name we pray, amen.

5. Prayer when you need rest

Dear God, in our current culture it can be incredibly difficult to take time to rest. In modern times, rest is considered laziness. Teach my sisters in Christ that rest is not a bad thing. We all need rest. And this rest lasts beyond 8 hours of sleep at night.

You also need a break from work, conflicts, and emotional problems. There’s nothing wrong with taking a break from everyday life and sitting at your feet, studying the Bible, and praying. God, give rest to our souls. Remove guilt from sisters in the heart of Christ.

6. Prayer when doubts abound

Dear God, there are many things that make us doubt. My sisters in Christ have told me many times that they doubt your good intentions. They’ve been through so many difficult times that it’s hard to see you as a good person. Let them know that you are good. Give them the knowledge that the terrible things happening in this world are because of the fall of mankind and not because of you (Genesis 3).

And help them to know that You work out all things for our good (Romans 8:28). This can bring hope to my sisters’ hearts. When hard times come, they will be able to see you working, rebuilding their lives, and surrounded by love instead of being oppressed. Erase their doubts with your loving embrace. Amen. “

7. Prayer when tempted

Dear God, the devil is always prowling around, looking for someone to devour (1 Peter 5:8). My sisters in Christ are no exception. Help them to bear the weight of temptation. Equip them with the armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18). Please give them a way out (1 Corinthians 10:13).

God, help them overcome any temptation. Give them the strength and endurance to run the race you have marked for them. Keep them loyal to you, their spouse, and their family. God, I trust you for their future. Amen. “

8. Prayer when you feel far from God

Dear God, sometimes my sisters in Christ feel far away from You. This is often due to personal conflicts. Let them know you are near them. You are not far from each of us (Acts 17:27). Wrap them in your comfort as they get through this difficult season.

Help them understand what worries, worries, and difficulties they may bring you (1 Peter 5:7). I’m happy to talk to them about anything. Thank you for being a good father who is always close to us. In your son’s name we pray, amen.

closing remarks

This list is not exhaustive. No matter what our sisters are facing, we can continue to pray for them in Christ. God hears all your prayers and answers them according to His will. What do your sisters in Christ need today? Pray for them and help them understand that God is working in their lives.

You are doing a great job of being the hands and feet of Jesus to your sisters in Christ. There is nothing better than having a friend who is like a sister (Proverbs 18:24). Praise the wonderful women the Lord has placed in our lives.
