Joshua Bloom lived in the depths of despair, pain, and confusion, but now he is a pastor sharing hope with millions of people.
Bloom, along with his wife Hope, just released a four-session video course and companion guide on XOMarriage.com titled “Made Whole: Healing, Wholeness, and Holiness in a Sex-Saturated World,” sounding the alarm about the impact of pornography on the hearts and minds of America’s youth.

“According to the data, the average age of exposure is 12 years old, but I think that’s somewhat skewed because we’re seeing a trend of lower and lower rates,” he said of the nature and availability of smut prevalence. “Look at how schools are using technology. There are so many people using technology to homeschool.”
Increased technology use has had a direct impact on pornography exposure, and Bloom said 84% of children who encounter pornography for the first time are victims of “secondary exposure,” meaning they weren’t looking for it when they saw it.
“They’re out there somewhere with an unsecured device in their hands or at a friend’s house, and they’re looking at it,” he said. “It’s really wild.”
He said the fact that some people were using pornography and inappropriate material to “teach children what sex is” was “devastating and alarming” and should cause deep concern. Exposure to pornography is affecting children’s brains, and that’s very concerning, Bloom said.
And it’s not just the kids. Mr Bloom said adults were also placed in inappropriate conditions.
“You’re teaching your brain that you need something bigger than reality,” he said. “It’s affecting your brain in a supernatural way, making you want things that can’t be replicated naturally.”
Mr Bloom continued. “Suddenly you have this insatiable appetite, because you can’t actually get what you want, and you just keep going on the wheel, regretting what you did…and then doing it again and feeling bad about it, over and over and over again.”
With these issues in mind, Bloom partnered with XOMarriage.com to launch “Made Whole: Healing, Wholeness, and Holiness in a Sex-Saturated World.”
“The idea of being made perfect is how do you go back to Genesis 2? Because in Genesis 3, there’s hiding, there’s shame, there’s hiding, and the enemy asks Adam and Eve this question and says, ‘Hey, is God protecting you? Haven’t you experienced what you can be?'”
With divorce, pornography and other issues plaguing America, Bloom said he hopes this course will give individuals and couples hope and push away evil and chaos.
“What is Satan’s purpose?” he asked. “Satan’s purpose is to kill, steal, and destroy. So if Satan can make a man invisible through divorce, all of a sudden there’s a fatherless house and… it’s just a disaster, collateral damage all over the place.”
Bloom said she and her husband designed the course, free of charge, to help people navigate a hypersexualized society.
“We don’t understand what sex, intimacy, and relationships really are because we have preconceived notions that were created outside of God’s plan,” he said. “So, in the end, it’s like, ‘Hey, let’s go back to God’s ways so that we can be whole.’ And the same Christ who forgives our sins actually has a plan to not only repair our marriages, redeem our lives, and reconcile us to himself, but to reconcile us to our partners.”
