The First Presidency announced the locations of one Columbia temple and two Brazil temples of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
The Medellin Colombia Temple will be a one-story temple measuring 10,471 square feet. It will be constructed on a 3.05-acre site at 52#4-96 Carrera, Guayabal, Medellin, Colombia, and will include attached buildings.
The Goiania Brazil Temple is planned as a one-story, 18,850-square-foot temple and will be built on a 5.54-acre site. It is located at the intersection of Avenida Rio Verde, Avenida Captain Breno, and Avenida Professor Elio França in Loteamento Faicalville, Goiania, Goias, Brazil.
The Campo Grande Brazil Temple will be an 11,300-square-foot, one-story building. Planned on a 5.6-acre site, it will be located at the intersection of Nelly Martins Avenue, Sigana Street and Rio Negro Street in Calanda Bosque, Campo Grande, Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil.

Each of these three houses of the Lord was announced for Goiania on October 1, 2023 by the late President of the Church Russell M. Nelson. Medellin, October 6, 2024. and Campo Grande on April 6, 2025.

Columbia is home to more than 223,000 Latter-day Saints in 260 wards and branches.
Missionaries first arrived in Columbia in May 1966, when Elder Spencer W. Kimball of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles organized the first branch in the country.
Of Colombia’s four Lord’s Houses in various stages, two are operational. The Bogotá Colombia Temple was dedicated in 1999, and the Barranquilla Colombia Temple was dedicated in 2018.
Another Cali Columbia temple has been in the construction phase since groundbreaking in March 2025.
This would make the Medellin temple the fourth planned in the country.

More than 1.57 million Latter-day Saints live in Brazil and meet in more than 2,000 wards and branches.
Latter-day Saint missionaries began preaching in southern Brazil in 1928. By the time the Sao Paulo Brazil Temple, the first in South America, was dedicated in 1978, membership in the country had reached 54,000.
Of Brazil’s 24 temples in various stages, 11 were consecrated: Belém, Brasilia, Campinas, Curitiba, Fortaleza, Manaus, Porto Alegre, Recife, Rio de Janeiro, Salvador, and São Paulo.

The Belo Horizonte Temple will soon become the country’s 12th temple, with a dedication scheduled for August 16th.
Five Houses of the Lord are currently under construction in Brazil: Temple of João Pessoa, Temple of Londrina, Temple of Natal, Temple of Ribeirão Preto, and Temple of Teresina. The groundbreaking ceremony for the Temple of Santos will be held on August 1st.
This leaves six locations in the planning stage: Campo Grande, Florianopolis, Goiania, Maceio, eastern São Paulo and Vitoria.
