Morning prayer to start each day
God, today is the day you made. I rejoice and rejoice in it. Thank you for saving my life for another day. With gratitude, I thank you for the ultimate gift of love to me in your son and for sacrificing your life for me. I humbly submit to You because of this overwhelming gift that is often incomprehensible to me. Lord, I am only a man and cannot instruct You, but I know that You, the Lord, can instruct me. So teach me your ways, that I may rely on your faithfulness. Teach me to count the days and use my time wisely.
I don’t know what today will be like, but I know that you will have it. You are the one who laid the foundations of the Earth and therefore understand every part of it. I know that you kept the sun in the sky, the stars in place, and created this earth for me to live on and enjoy.
Throughout this day, may I be acutely aware of your presence in everything I do: as I commute to work, as I take my children to school, as I do housework, as I talk to my neighbors. May my life be a living example so that others may see Christ in me. There are many hurting people in this world. Lord, may I be of help to someone today. In ways I can’t even imagine. May my words be blessed with salt and blessings to all who hear them. May my actions be consistent with your words.
We pray for wisdom that is peaceful, kind, and approachable, with much mercy and justice. You said that infinite wisdom would be given to me if I just asked. So I pray for wisdom to know how to deal with the many people and situations that cross my path.
I pray for protection throughout this day. Protects from harm and evil. Go in front of me, go to my left and right, go behind me. Direct my steps so that I may walk in a manner worthy of Your calling throughout this day. Help me to tune into your promptings, whether it’s a gentle pull or a strong conviction.
I pray for reconciliation for my family, my nation, and for all of you. I pray that all people may know You and be reconciled to You again.
Lord, You know my shortcomings and shortcomings. Please forgive me for being unkind to my words and thoughts. Forgive me for being selfish. Forgive me for holding on to old wounds instead of letting them get to you. Please forgive me, Lord.
Help me to run to Your Word when I feel overwhelmed, confused, unsure, and restless. May your words be alive to me and a living guide in every situation. Lord, help me remember the promises of Your Word and bring to mind the appropriate passages to remember this situation. I admit to the Lord that I need to spend more time with you reading and praying so that I can be prepared for whatever the day brings. Lord, I know that your word is indeed a light to my feet and a light to my path.
Removes fear and anxiety. As believers, you have given us the power of love and a healthy heart instead of a spirit of fear. So when we feel fear, may we remember your love for us and use that love as a driving force to love others and see situations differently. May we use the power you have given us. Because we are never alone because you don’t make us comfortable. May your wisdom be the foundation of our sound mind. May we remember that there is no need to be anxious, and when we feel anxious or anxious, may we verbalize our concerns to You, and then leave them there, as You have taught us. Our worries serve us no purpose and limit us, but you do more for our worries than we ever could. So help us to surrender all anxious thoughts and nerve-wracking situations to You. It’s about really doing it and believing that you’re working. That you work together in all things for our good because you love us. That you are working in ways that we cannot understand because your ways are replacing our ways. And in this work You are continually shaping us into masterpieces suitable for Your use. You are increasing our faith and our ability to love.
As a child of your Lord, I know that I am your masterpiece, but I feel far from it. Remind yourself of your worth when you face difficult situations. When I’m feeling down, remind me that I’m horribly made in your image, a copy of you, and that you loved me so much that you thought I was worth dying for. I don’t know many people who would die for me, but you did. I am forever grateful and humbled.
Thank you, Lord, for those who are invisible. You are beyond understanding, you are abundant, and you are above all. I submit everything to you today, amen.

Powerful Morning Prayer to Focus on God
Forgive us for being too busy or distracted by other things to fully appreciate what you have so generously given us and all that Christ has done for us. Help us to stop striving and remember once again that You alone are God. We choose today to stand by you and keep you first in our hearts and lives. I choose to find joy and strength in you today. I choose to walk in love. I decided to take my eyes off all the struggles and turmoil in this world and turn to you. I choose your peace over worry. I choose kindness over haste. I choose forgiveness over discord and resentment. I choose not to rely on my own strength or ability but to be filled with your Spirit. I know my life is far from perfect. The enemy would want nothing more than to take me straight down before I even walk out the door.
