A prayer expressing gratitude for the gifts of God’s people
Written by Kelly Eichberger

Bible reading:
I thank God every time I think of you. I pray for you all, and I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now. – Philippians 1:3-5

Listen or read below:

If I can be completely transparent, I will confess that I am currently feeling quite heavy and feel that some difficult situations are on the horizon. And all the while, I desperately wanted to anchor myself to the solid foundation beneath me. The anxiety that sometimes eats away at me and tries to shake me, and being trapped in a huge rock that won’t shake. All I need to do is rely on the Lord, as I always do. our almighty God. An anchor for every storm. And how grateful I am for His steadfast presence, His all-sufficient strength, and His unsurpassed peace that never leaves me. But in addition to being a constant source of stability within and beneath us, God also provides us with tangible and precious blessings all around us. To strengthen our strength and faith. He offers us His people.

Let’s think about it together for a moment. Think about a time when someone helped you during a difficult time. Provided aid, assistance, or any support in a mission, mission, or project. When someone encourages you, serves you, or sits with you. Perhaps they have prayed for you, prayed with you, or even prayed for you. Personally, I have felt the greatest support and encouragement from God’s people. A gift from God Himself. Brothers and sisters in Christ have a God-given heart of help and shine the love of Jesus.

Indeed, in this very season of hardship, doubt, and fear, I took the plunge to share my struggle against the upcoming major surgery with fellow believers and trusted church members. I reached out unprotected, asked for prayer, and in response received the amazing gifts of God’s power, peace, and comfort through God’s people. I cannot thank you enough. And I don’t know about you, but asking for help or even asking for prayer isn’t easy for me. But what I do know is how blessed I am when I bless others with my love, prayers, and support. So I’m learning to open up. I learned that the power of prayer promotes peace. And support strengthens power. I learned that there are people who share the same gospel mission to pray, love, and serve. Other believers are waiting and hoping to help. And I have become incredibly grateful for the church body and the mission of Jesus that supports each other. As Paul said in his letter to the Philippians, I thank God every time I remember you. I pray for you all, and I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now.

If you are someone who is burdened right now, I pray that you would open your heart to God’s people. I pray that you will share your pain and express your need. May the body of Christ carry your burdens, strengthen your path, and refresh your soul with peace. And I pray that you will be filled with joyful gratitude for God’s people.

May we all remember and thank God for all those He has placed in our path to uplift us. May we acknowledge and be thankful to the Lord for those who are waiting to serve us and walk with us today. And in response, may we rejoice in gratitude as we participate in the advancement of the gospel. Serve the church, the body of Christ, with gratitude and be a light and blessing to each and every one of God’s people.

Let’s pray:

Father God, you are my steadfast rock through all of my life’s struggles. You are in me and with me with your strength and peace. Not only that, you have placed blessings and gifts all around me that I can see, touch, and experience with the senses that you have given me creatively. You provide people with their presence. People who have offered to help me, encourage me, and pray for me. And I’m very grateful. Lord, I know it’s not always easy to ask for help, but help me to reach out and accept your people.

Remember the truth that You have placed in My path those who long to be Your hands and feet and to love as You do. You are already doing that and will never stop. Help me express my gratitude by giving back to others. To love them as you would, to serve them as you would, and to participate in the advancement of the gospel of your son, our Savior Jesus. I admire and am forever grateful for who you are, all you have done, and all you continue to do.

In the name of Jesus, amen.

When war dominates the headlines, parents have important questions to ask. “How do we talk to our children about war?” In this episode of March or Die, Jeremy Stalnecker shares practical, Biblical principles for guiding young people through confusing and frightening world events.

Drawing on his experience as a Marine who lived through the post-9/11 wars, Jeremy explains why moments of global conflict can be powerful opportunities for parents to teach their children about courage, faith, and moral clarity. Rather than avoiding difficult conversations, parents can use them to help their children understand fear, the reality of evil in the world, and the responsibility they have to stand up for what’s right.

This conversation explores how parents can reduce fear, explain why conflict exists, and provide a faith-filled response when the world seems chaotic. Jeremy also talks about the difference between necessary and unnecessary violence, why it’s important to stand up against evil, and the importance of teaching children how faith in God brings stability in times of uncertainty.
