Donations and humanitarian efforts from the Latter-day Saint Church of Jesus Christ and its members influenced the lives of nearly 20 million people across Europe in 2024.

Around the world, the church spent $1.45 billion in 2024 on 192 countries and territories. Through funding and products, the church supports thousands of humanitarian projects around the world, regardless of race, nationality or religious affiliation.

Many of Europe’s donations have directly celebrated millions of refugees and migrants who have been forced out.

The church will work with government and non-governmental agencies to fund the welcoming centre and provide blankets, bedding, clothing, shelter, medicine, healthcare, education, hygiene, hygiene, hygiene and other services to help people integrate into their new communities.

The church’s donation to Project Hope provided medical care to displaced people in Moldova. The church also donated food baggage and hygiene kits to vulnerable people in Greece, Norway and the Czech Republic.

Elder Paul Picard, 70 regions in the Central European region, told attendees at the international conference “Year of Peace and Trust: Development of International Activities for Children” in Arkadag, Turkmenistan.

“As believers in Jesus Christ, we live his teachings,” he said. “When Jesus asked about the greatest commandment, he replied, “I will love the Lord your God with all my heart, soul and heart.” He then added the second greatest commandment to “love your neighbor as yourself.” This love drives our purpose, and it all starts within our family. ”

2024 includes caring for people in need in Europe:

After the 2023 earthquake in Türkiye, the church continues to support its recovery efforts.

In October, the church worked with Turkish authorities to formally open three schools in the Hatai region of southeastern Turkey, according to a news release from the church’s European newsroom.

This means that children whose schools have been destroyed by the earthquake will no longer have to travel long distances to continue their education.

“There is no word to express the joy of seeing their innocent and happy children return to school,” Elder Picard said. “The rising generation is the future of humanity, and we have a responsibility to protect, raise our children and do our best.”

Emergency response

The church worked with other local and global relief organizations to help those affected by Spanish flash floods.

Despite the devastating losses themselves, many Latter-day Saints in the area worked to help their neighbors in any way.

Part of the recovery efforts include collecting much-needed cleaning supplies. Church missionaries cleaned the mud from the streets of Cataloja in Valencia. This was one of the most affected areas.

Stormboris also left a massive destruction in many communities in September 2024, with the church and its members responding with compassion. According to a news release from the church’s European newsroom, he is served by muddy, clearing yards and sweepers.

Helping women and children

The Relief Society organization is leading the Church’s global initiatives for women and children working to improve the health and well-being of women and children around the world, particularly through child nutrition, mothers and newborn care, vaccination and education.

In Europe in 2024, the church continued to work with Progetto Arca. It provides housing and food assistance to people in need.

The church also supported Mary’s smile, a foundation founded by professional Hungarian women and mothers, with the aim of establishing a foster parent network focused on Christianity.

In May, a group of 30 Latter-day Saints from Albania tied up a fleece blanket and presented it to a new mother in need. The church also donated equipment and neonatal necessities to the Mother and Child Hospital Foundation in the country.

Give individual power

Distributing pregnant dairy cows to families in need in Bosnia and Herzegovina helped families meet their nutritional needs and provided financial boosts through the sale of surplus milk. In June 2024, the Church and Muslim Aid worked together for ten years on projects like this. |Latter-day Saints’ Church of Jesus Christ

The church worked with Muslim assistance to help people develop beekeeping initiatives in Bosnia and Herzegovina, independence with the greenhouse, the distribution of dairy cows during pregnancy.

People not only received fully stocked and installed greenhouses, but also trained to learn how to succeed. Those who received the beekeeping materials also received educational support and education campaigns. The family in need then received pregnant milk. This allows you to make money by drinking fresh milk and selling excess milk.
