Author and prophecy expert Todd Hampson is closely monitoring events unfolding in the Middle East, and some recognize Israel’s preemptive strike against Iran as potentially prophetic importance.

“I wasn’t surprised that it happened, but…I didn’t know if it would happen two weeks from today,” Hampson told CBN News. “I was blown away by how they came in… you can say… this is one shot of them to eradicate the nuclear program and they’re doing everything they can to do that.”
The host of the “Prophecy Benefits Podcast” said those studying Biblical prophecies know that these events can “have great significance. Iran has kept its quest to see Israel wiped out of the map. It appears that Israel is intended to use Operation Raisinglion to stop the Islamic Republic’s growing nuclear program.
When asked about the motives of Iran’s hatred towards Israel, Hampson said he believes “It’s all spiritual.”
“It’s all fundamentally demonically guided,” he said. The Bible pointed out whether Israel would one day return to the land.
Hampson continued, “I believe it is demonically guided. From a human point of view, it is ideological. They are radical Islam (proponents). They have a clock counting down to the destruction of Israel.
clock:
The author said that whenever the group “try to destroy all Jews,” the Israelites believe that they must be taken away by their words, citing other moments throughout the Holocaust and such history.
In terms of prophecy, there are no doubt some people looking at Ezekiel 38-39 and pondering what the events prophesied in those chapters are taking place in some way in the Middle East, especially if they could be bound by a part of the text warning of Iran-led invasion.
“But (the prophecy) specifically, I think it’s three times, it’s going to be the last day,” he said. “It also says that it will be when Israel lives in peace and lives safely.”
Hampson continues. “It gives you these specific countries that you are trying to partner with together, and those countries have never cooperated with all of their history to oppose Israel. And if you look at the ancient names of those countries and their modern counterparts, the three big hitters are turkey, Iran and Russia, leading a coalition of several other nations.”
Hampson said it is unclear how the current battle relates to this prophesied confusion, but that events in the past decades set the stage for biblical fulfillment at some point in the future.
“We don’t see a fulfilling prophecy, but we see this stage being set very clearly for prophecy in this late-era era,” he said.
Ultimately, Hampson said there was a difference between the prophetic timeline and the discussion of opinions on what will happen next. He provided some theories about what happens and why it matters.
But he believes that one already fulfilled prophecies can be seen in Ezekiel 37: Creation of modern Israel.
“Not only Ezekiel, but Daniel also said that at least by the midpoint of the future period of hardship, there must be people and the nation of Israel in the land that ruled Jerusalem and the Temple Hill,” Hampson said. “Jesus declared this himself. So Jesus is Matthew, 24 years old, his words. He affirmed the hatred of devastation spoken by the prophet Daniel. That is, Israel must be a nation. Israel rules over Jerusalem and the Temple Mount, and has a temple.”
He added that Israel’s very existence as a nation is “evidence of a literal way of interpretation,” and that “all Old Testament prophets except Jonah will make Israel a nation again.”
