These days, there are many reasons why you can feel anxious, frightening, or distracted check-out. I have never felt more flooded with controversial, divided, and uncertainty-generating rhetoric. Information Age doesn’t treat us well. Yes, there is a lot to “do” depending on what’s going on culturally. But I also believe there are many things that are “although.” The world needs our graceful, wise, discernable, loving beings more than ever before.
Love and presence may seem a little light to some. Some imagine them flying around in the daisies field. But I think both of them are solid, heavy, life-giving and necessary. True love and invitation to true being are not simple, but they are at the heart of every response we take on. Let’s look at what Jesus called the most important commandment. I love your God in the Lord with your heart, your soul, and with all your strength. The second is this: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” There is no greater commandment than these. ” (Mark 12)
I have heard hundreds of these poems if not thousands of times, and because of this, their priorities can be darkened by pure repetition. So it’s good to go back and pause. What if instead of taking this truth for granted, we are even more completely leaning towards us? What does life look like based on this truth… feel?
Love God Abu Love yourself
This is a life-giving flow. We love because God loved us first (1 John 4:19). We love God for His love for us. When we receive God’s love, we extend it to others (love your neighbors as you are). Each of these loves is experienced in the present moment, so it is necessary to have a presence. Exercise of existence is far from light. It’s actually very difficult because our brains want to rehearse past and projects into the future. But here and now, it is a place where love is experienced and accepted.
Is your confidence in the centrality of love and existence growing? i hope so.
Let’s pray:
Thank you, God, for being with us now. Your love is constantly surrounding us, and we now choose to sink into this reality. Help me to keep you aware of your love every day. And make your love focus on me. I deeply desire to love and serve others with my relaxed, present heart. Yes, you modeled this for us. I want to be like you. Love and presence are solid, basic, and necessary. I will now receive your love and hold it deep in my heart. thank you! Amen.
