Ruslan KD, who has established himself as one of the most prominent, thoughtful and reflective Christian creators, sees some truly encouraging movements currently unfolding in the cultural world.

“There is a hunger for something deeper,” he told CBN News during the recent Bless God Summit. “I think there’s a hunger for meaning. I think there’s a hunger for spiritual formation and stepping into a true sense of reality.”

Ruslan, who is scheduled to begin a cross-country tour in Chicago on April 10, sees a change in his current mindset when he compares his current thirst for the gospel and truth with his previous mindset.

“Before COVID-19, we were just floating around and doing our own thing,” he said. “I remember right after 9/11… there was just a kind of clarity that came over people, and they were curious and interested.”

The church was initially overcrowded, but it didn’t take long for the situation to subside. But Ruslan said recent events have created a similar movement, making people more drawn to the church and faith.

“Shortly after Charlie Kirk was tragically assassinated, we saw a dramatic recovery…Our church is consistently maintained and growing,” he said. “And I don’t know if that growth was already happening, but we’ve seen a noticeable bump where our church has doubled since this time last year and is now more than double in size. And that’s great.”

Meanwhile, Ruslan also elaborated on his concerns, citing “excessive, excessive, excessive skepticism in all organizations.” He pointed to what happened during COVID-19 to explain why this happened.

From claims about masks to promises that the curve would flatten in “two weeks,” much of it never materialized, and understandably undermined public trust.

“Don’t wear a mask, wear a mask, like that,” he said. “And all of that gets amplified and people wake up and think, ‘Hey, these people in power in the system, they’re not necessarily doing well. They’re not always being honest about what’s going on.'”

This creates a sense of distrust, making people suspicious of everything, which can lead to unhealthy situations, such as extreme conspiratorial rabbit holes.

“It’s not good for…their souls…and their lives,” Ruslan said. “Seeing the world through this paradigm isn’t good for the soul, but it’s also bad for life, because when you have a ‘defeatist system is rigged, little guys don’t get ahead, the American Dream is dead’ (spirituality)…that belief will reflect that in your actions.”

Ruslan is on a mission to encourage people to draw closer to the Lord. His second annual Bless God Summit recently drew hundreds of fans to California to hear from pastors, speakers, and apologetics experts.

He said he wanted to create a weekend where people could “go see their favorite speakers, artists and performers” and leave with information. But beyond that, he hopes the Bless God Summit will create “opportunities for change.”

“I’m happy to get to know and see people. Just like me, I know that lives are changing and that the sacrifices are worth it,” he said.
