Prayer for refreshment before God
Written by Kelly Eichberger
Bible reading:
It refreshes the weary and satisfies the faint-hearted. (Jeremiah 31:25)
Listen or read below:
Fatigue is building just below the surface of my soul. And oh, how I wish I could suppress it! To wash away all the weak remnants of burdens and wounds. To restore strength to the body and bring song to the heart. To find a refreshing sweet scent that breathes fresh life into my inner being. Then hold it firmly until it sticks and stays in place.
We understand that you too are looking for a fulfilling refreshment. You also have a longing to be new and refreshed, whether you crave it right now or need to dig a little deeper to realize your need. There you will find the joy of life that you have always wanted. A place where you can gain perspective on the goodness around you and a bright hope that even better things are to come. A place where you can live freely and love freely. Where can we find relief from the cycle of fatigue? Time and time again, we end up in that dreaded place when we are exhausted by life’s demands, expectations, and relentless demands to hurry. The demand to give more, do more, work harder, and work faster has dried up. Keep moving forward and never stop. When I finally felt completely exhausted and exhausted. And you’ll want to drink a deep drink to refresh yourself. Take a delicious sip of the Lord’s living water, which refreshes the weary and satisfies the faint-hearted.
And here’s the beauty. You can have this today. And every day. The hand of our Almighty Father is outstretched, open, and stretched out towards you with an abyss of freshness. everytime. he exists He is peaceful. He is power itself. And he is waiting for you to come and greet him. His flow never stops. It is abundant and fills the deepest emptiness, quenches the greatest thirst and satisfies the emptiest soul.
Let’s turn to him now. Stop and drink from the fountain of His presence. Feel God filling you with peace, protection, comfort, and compassion. Notice that He is refreshing all the tired wells of your heart and reviving the seeds of strength that were hibernating in your soul. Sit still with Him, remain there, and fill your heart with Jesus, your Lord and Savior and Friend, hourly and hourly and over and over again, now and thereafter.
When you turn to the Lord, He will certainly refresh and fill your soul. God is always waiting and ready to refresh and satisfy your soul.
Let’s pray:
Friends, Jesus, you are living water. You are my constant source of refreshment. The only stable source that will never wither or wither. Every time I turn to you, you bring cheer to my weary soul. There are days and moments when you feel tired of the weight of the world. And I confess that I don’t always rely directly on you to restore my spirit. But I know I should. Only you can fulfill all my deepest desires, and you long to do that for me.
I praise You for always refreshing me as I sit still in Your presence, as I surrender to Your strength, and as I simply receive Your unconditional love and peace. Lord, fill me with your refreshments now. Along with the satisfaction of water for daily life. With your love, comfort and peace. And Lord, may my desire to run to you again and again to be filled grow stronger and stronger. Have confidence in the truth that your blessings are always available in abundance. I definitely admire the refreshment and contentment I feel within you. Thank you, Lord.
Amen to your refreshing name.

Many sincere believers go through seasons when their prayers feel empty, their Bibles feel silent, and God feels mysteriously absent. Especially for leaders, these seasons can feel confusing, discouraging, and even embarrassing.
