The hard truth about our porn-obsessed culture has come to light from an unlikely source: an OnlyFans model.
Athena Paris, an explicit content creator with over 1 million followers across social media, shared the tragic truth in a heartbreaking confessional that begins with a clip of the late conservative Christian activist Charlie Kirk.
In the video, Kirk said men “look down on the girls on OnlyFans very lowly.”
Paris affirmed her words on her Instagram Reels, saying, “As someone who has been in the[OnlyFans]industry for the past three years, I truly believe this is a gift and an exchange,” noting that people who make sexual videos “make a deal with the dark side” that could bring them financial freedom, “but in return, your love life suffers greatly.”
The most eye-opening thing was Paris’s words about the dark side of the porn industry.

“The darkness that we open ourselves to when we do things like this brings depression, anxiety, and loneliness,” she said, a sentiment echoed by former porn star turned pastor Joshua Bloom. “It’s all mental.”
Her confession is especially heartbreaking considering that she still appears to be producing explicit content that clearly contradicts the Biblical view of sexuality and human worth.
Paris also laments the fact that she has been single for four years, a status she knows will likely continue as long as she continues to work in the porn industry.
“Every noble man I have ever met has said that he will never claim me,” she lamented. “They bond with you, but they never claim you. They never take you back to your parents.”
The content creator continued, “I agree that high-value men look down on women[on OnlyFans]. It makes them believe that they are very low-value people and that they are incapable of love because of the career they have chosen.”
In recent weeks, Paris has been posting faith-related content on her Instagram account, including sharing that she has started reading the Bible.
In one video, she admitted that she was abused as a child and provided an opportunity to learn more about her background. She argued that many young women enter the porn industry out of low self-esteem, seeking value even if they are in the wrong place.
“This is some kind of abuse that happened in childhood. Whether it’s sexual abuse or physical abuse, it’s a lack of some kind of unconditional love that you had as a child, and as you continue to experience that and get older, you start to think in your mind that your sex is your value,” Parris explained.
In the video’s caption, she wrote, “The world promotes itself. We have to be selfish, we have to idolize ourselves. We have to prioritize our careers over relationships and family. But what our souls want. What is it? Community, family, unconditional love…maybe that’s why I was empty for so long…I was too busy meeting worldly needs instead of my soul.As I read the Bible, I understood more about what our souls want.
Paris made headlines last year when her father was diagnosed with tuberculosis. Her father made a full recovery and the content creator said, “I was glad that God gave me time to come and nurse my father back to health.”
Please note that it is not clear whether Paris intends to continue creating explicit content.
