Iam Tongi will be the headline concert artist for the 2026 Utah Regional Young Single Adult Conference, according to a Wednesday, July 1, news release from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
The conference will return for a fourth year and will be held Aug. 14 and 15, according to the Utah Regional YSA Conference social media pages on Facebook and Instagram.
Continuing with the previous conference’s theme, “Together in Christ,” this year’s event will include Christ-centered devotionals, interactive workshops, service projects, and social events.
Concerts are also scheduled for August 14th and 15th, and young people are asked to select which night to attend when registering for the conference. Both concerts begin at 8pm and run until 9:30pm.
Tongi is a 21-year-old singer from Hawaii and a church member who won Season 21 of American Idol in 2023. Tongi believes that music is about transformation, and the news release states: “This is what I meant.”
Tongi is not the only musical artist featured at the concert. King, a collective of Billboard-charting artists and songwriters united by a shared passion for spreading faith-based hope, love and unity, will open both nights as a special guest.
Tongi previously performed at the Utah Regional 2024 Young Single Adult Conference on August 3, 2024.
Young single adults ages 18-35 in Utah can register for this year’s conference here. Tickets are $50 each.
“Together in Christ provides a place to gather, learn from inspired leaders, serve together, and build friendships based in faith,” according to the conference’s website. “You will leave encouraged, uplifted and reminded that you are not walking this path alone.”
