“Fox & Friends” host Ainsley Earhart is on a mission to inspire kids to love America.
Earhart, who has a new children’s book titled “America, I’m Glad You Were Born: Celebrating the Country We Love,” said she created the project to remind both young people and adults about America.
“With so much news happening and so much division happening around the world and in our country, I thought, ‘We need to go back to the basics and remember why we’re so grateful to be Americans and have all the freedoms that God has given us,'” she said. “Our founding fathers wrote in the Constitution that these are gifts given to us by God, and that God has protected this country, the greatest nation in the world.”
When asked why she thinks so many people are dissatisfied with America and have become so negative, Earhart gave an honest assessment. Among other realities, she said many of today’s young people were not at the scene of the 9/11 terrorist attacks that terrorized the nation and the world. Therefore, they do not remember what they felt at that moment and what they lost.
Additionally, past generations faced significant disruptions that deepened their perceptions of America. Young people just don’t have the same experience and it reminds them of their love for America.
“Our grandparents fought in World War II, so they were very patriotic,” she says. “Both of my grandfathers were very patriotic. They served our country and were always concerned about the next generation and worked hard to give their children a better life.”
Ultimately, Earhart said, this older generation is proud of America and grateful for the “republic” and the freedoms it has given us.
“They traveled to other countries and (saw) how women are treated. And…we now talk a lot about Iran and women,” she said. “They can’t walk outside, they have to be covered, they have to be accompanied, they can’t go to school, they can’t drive.”
Earhart continued, “In America, we have all these freedoms and we take them for granted. So I think we’ve been spoiled as a country. We need to learn other people’s stories.”
The TV host also addressed other issues, including the persecution of Christians in Africa and other regions where believers are forced to hide their Bibles. Some people go to jail or face death just for practicing their faith. Sadly, she said, too many people have forgotten the meaning of true freedom.
“There are a lot of people who want our country to become a socialist country…but do they know what that looks like?” she said. “Talk to people who immigrated here from Cuba and see what they’re going through.”

After all, Earhart doesn’t want America to follow a similar path to communism or socialism. In “America, I’m So Glad You Were Born: Celebrating the Country We Love,” she wants to remind Americans that America is “founded on Christian values” and is a heritage of faith.
“We want our children to understand that Independence Day is not just about fireworks, floats, red, white and blue dresses and ribbons, matching children’s costumes and picnics,” she said. “The red, white and blue of our flag represent our freedoms, and we want them to know that these are God-given rights.”
Earhart said she believes people’s purpose is to “serve Christ” and that doing so is a “great gift.” She also wants people to fully realize how lucky they are to live in America.
“You were born in the best country or you live in the best country,” she said. “You have the right to choose which church you want to go to, you have the right to vote for your leaders, you have freedom of speech, you can write a book, you can protest, you can do whatever you want in this country without getting arrested.”
