Starting today, June 1st, reservations for “Inside the Temple” tours at Salt Lake City’s Temple Square Visitor’s Center will begin in bulk.
Tickets will be available for free every other Monday starting today at TempleSquare.org or the Temple Square app on Apple and Android. Reservations are accepted from 75 days in advance.
After a series of reservations is filled, users of the website or app can sign up for notifications about new slots opening in the next release every two weeks.

The public can tour the rest of the Temple Square Visitor Center without a reservation.
According to a June 1 news release from ChurchofJesusChrist.org, “Everyone is welcome to experience the center’s interactive exhibits that show temples are sacred spaces rooted in faith, family, service, and commitment to God.”

The Salt Lake City Visitor Center opened to the public on Monday, May 18th. This 39,800 square foot facility is focused on the Savior and features elements designed to help individuals understand the purpose of the Lord’s house and their role in the plan of salvation.
In addition to the “Inside the Temple” experience, which takes visitors through life-size replicas of rooms found in many temples, the center features other exhibits focused on faith and temples.

In the west wing stands a replica of Bertel Thorvaldsen’s statue of Christus. The Salt Lake Temple can be seen from the window behind the statue.
In the east wing, a scale model of the Salt Lake Temple mechanically opens to reveal the interior rooms of the Lord’s House. A five-minute presentation with narration and music that explains temple worship.

On the lower level, 11 scale miniature temples represent the worldwide spread of the restored gospel. The interactive globe also depicts the locations of the Lord’s houses around the world.
The marble sculpture “Come Until Me” by Swiss artist Christian Bolt connects the lower wings and depicts the risen Savior reaching out to visitors.

Speaking to the media on April 13, ahead of the public opening, Rector Dieter F. Uchtdorf expressed his hope that visitors would find peace when visiting the new center.
“We invite you to come and see and learn,” said the Acting President of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. “We are one family. . . . We are all children of our Heavenly Father.”
The Temple Square Visitors Center is open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
