Today, in honor of President Eyring’s 93rd birthday, we are sharing nine of his quotes from this past year.
1. Peace can come.
“Each time you return to the temple, you will come to know more about the Father and Him through the Spirit. The peace God promises can come even when the storms of life assail us.”
— May 3, 2026, social media post after dedicating the Lyndon Utah Temple.
2. Temple and obedience

“The temple experience increases our desire as humble children of God to submit our hearts and wills to God. As we wholeheartedly obey what we are taught in the temple, it enables us to receive the gift of peace.”
— Lyndon Utah Temple Dedication, May 3, 2026
3. “They are anxious to bless us.”

“In moments of pain, loneliness, and confusion, we know that our Heavenly Father and His Beloved Son are aware of our situation and long to bless us.”
— “Prayer for Peace” April 2026 General Conference
4. Children will remember
“Daily family prayer, family scripture study, and sharing your testimony in sacrament meeting are easy and effective when your children are young. As they grow older, they will remember the hymns you sing together. Even more than they remember the music, they will remember the scriptures and the words of their testimony.”
— Social Media Post, January 5, 2026
5. Waterways of God’s Grace

“If we are kind and serve one another as the Savior does, even in the smallest ways, we can be channels of God’s grace so that those in our sphere of influence can feel the Savior’s love and hope. Jayme, Jespere.”
— First Presidency Christmas Devotional, December 7, 2025
6. An invitation to prayer

“The growth of the church will accelerate. When the missionaries come to know the gospel of Jesus Christ, they will see hope.”
“When anyone feels like they’re on the edge, they can’t be so far away that the Savior doesn’t reach out to them. My encouragement to them is just to pray, and you too will come back from the edge and feel included.”
— First Presidency Interview, October 15, 2025
7. Evidence of His Love

“If we continue faithfully in our service, the Lord will refine us. He will strengthen us, and one day we will look back and see that those very trials were evidence of His love.”
— “Proofed and Strengthened in Christ” October 2025 General Conference
8. Feeling safe
“I can take comfort in this: A loving God who allowed these trials for you also planned a sure path through them. Our Heavenly Father sent His beloved Son to help us. He loved the world so much that He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die for us. He bore the weight of all our sins on the cross in Gethsemane.
— Social Media Post, July 28, 2025
9. Have courage

“You can take courage from the fact that the Lord has personally called you. He knows you and He knows your abilities. He knows your heart and your ability to grow. He knows what you will face in your service. He wants you to be successful in the task He has set out for you. He loves you.”
— 2025 Seminar for New Mission Leaders, June 20, 2025
