Veteran actor and producer Kirk Cameron says the latest Hoopra on Disney’s Snow White remake shows that the entertainment giant doesn’t hear the public.

“It seems Disney doesn’t listen to the message. When you wake up, you break,” he said. “Disney (IS) continues to go down a path their parents don’t want, meaning they trust their parents with the problem.”
Cameron continued. “And then, you start making beloved films like “Snow White,” stripping you of what’s true, what’s good, what’s beautiful, and replacing it with other values that oppose the actors and all of them.
Rev. Greg Laurie is among those who openly criticize the remake, so the “growthing pain” star is not alone in his criticism of “Snow White.”
As CBN News previously reported, Laurie, pastor of the Harvest Christian Fellowship in Riverside, California, said the original story was a “moral f-talk” full of biblical similarities.
“The preacher said that the 19th century story was “about good and evil,” and that it “centered around a hollow queen who is obsessed with her beauty and status. The problem with Lucifer is that he was in love with his own image.
Laurie was particularly problematic about how the film deviated from its focus on the Prince who saves Snow White.
Regarding Cameron and his own Hollywood critique, the actor said he was ready to help parents find positive entertainment for their children as he partners with Brave Books and Associated Streamer Brave+ to launch a new kids show.
“The Adventures with Iggy and Mr. Kirk” is a crowdfunding effort that connects well-known performers with children’s television veterans.
“This family-focused live-action series combines laughter, learning and biblical values to provide trusted entertainment options that reflect values for parents and grandparents and bring together their families,” a press release on the series, released last year.
Cameron said he is grateful to connect with “creative, innovative people who love God, love their families, and love our nation.” He said the new show and other related projects will allow the team to embark on innovative and fresh efforts while respecting what their parents want.
“It’s the new ‘Mr. Rogers’, teaching the kids healthy lessons and clearly ignite their imagination,” Cameron said.
As for why Hollywood appears to be continuing to miss the message, the “Growing Pain” star said the industry simply isn’t serving people.
Cameron hopes that Brave+ will make an important difference in helping parents find inspirational content.
“Parents have viable alternatives with parental vetted content like “Iggy and Kirk” like “Iggy and Kirk” and Brave+, an incredible new streaming platform like “Strawberry Shortcake.”
Cameron continues, “I teach children the character, virtues and faith.”
The actor said it was personal to be able to create such content, adding that the film could be the “most important thing” he has ever made. You can download Brave+ from various app stores.
