Maybe you want to get over the day and see the actual France a few days later in Paris.

For me, it was the latter. When I was planning to resume the Notre Dame Cathedral, I decided to spend a few nights at Charles de Gaulle Airport. 。

Roissy-en-France is a small French town, even if 67 million people have passed the terminal every year, despite a part of the 12.5 acres airport.

I did not fully understand the naming rules, as multiple layers of local and local governments seemed to have lent their names to the region. Roissy-en-FRANCE towns (what French calls a commune) are some other towns or villages in the countryside of Grator Roysian, also known as English Val-D’oise or Oise Valley. Oz, which was named from the river of the same name, was a box of bushes in Paris.

The rural character is visible around the Lemesnil Melot. There, cars and farmers driving large tractors share the road.

Le Mesnir Amelot, located just below Charles de Gaul’s flight approach, is more like a village than Roysian Ens France. The hidden jewel is St. Martin, a church in the early 16th century designed in a gorgeous Gothic style influenced by the Renaissance.

If you want to maximize the limited time, you need to go directly to Ecouen.

This sleepy bedroom community is located in 10 miles by car from Roissy-en-FRANCE, and is home to Ecouuen Castle. The Renaissance Palace, which was built as a dignified house of the powerful and noble politicians, under the King of the France, is a dignified house of Anne de Montmolency, has accommodated the National Renaissance Museum today. Between architecture and interior decoration and collection -A visit to a museum, which is once well -known the CLUNY Museum, is essential.

There is the St. Ashur Church just below the old castle. The St. Ashur Church dates back to the mid -16th century, and its existence is a sponsor of Montmoracy. Although dedication is unique, there are few Hagiography that has no discussion for ACCEUL, but the 19th -century Renaissance revival west facade is a focus, and the interior far exceeds the weight of small parish churches. 。

In incomplete, it was due to the construction of the French religious war between Protestant and Roman Catricks. The highlights include the original 2,866 pounds, 11 Renaissance stained glass windows, and the famous Rafael altar pages of Rafael.

The exterior of the gorgeous Renaissance, missing from St. Ashules, is 8 miles away in St. Kosmas Church and St. Damian’s Lusal Shes.

The front of the west with a rose window may have been rebuilt in the 16th century and fitted to the fashionable Renaissance style at the time, but as long as everyone remembered, the church stood here. The bell tower and part of the internal arch, which separate the native and the Prime Minister, are Romanesque, at least 900 years.

Luzarches also has more local atmosphere than Roissy-en-France and Ecouuen. In addition to the church, there are many photos of the Instagram sets in the quaint city scenery. The Landmark includes an old 13th century city gate and a covered outdoor market hall that holds the market every Friday.

If you go

I was going to see as many as possible, but those who only have half a day at Charles de Gaulle Airport have enough time to leave the terminal and visit one or two places covered with a column.

All churches I have visited are open regularly without admission. On the other hand, the National Renaissance Museum is open every day from 9:30 am to 12:45 pm, which is 3.50 euros per person from 2:00 pm to 5:15 pm per person.

I stayed in the center of the small town of Roissien France at Marriott Charles Degoall Airport Hotel. The hotel may be a bit old, but the rooms are well -established, and the overall standards are expected at a four -star chain hotel. There are several restaurants within walking distance, including Rubirage.

Rental cars are wiser for excursions to Lusarch and Equen, but taxis and Uber vehicles can be used immediately. Avis, Hertz, and SixT rental car agencies have a place in the air right outside the arrival area. The brand new Opel Crossover, which is my rental, features a built -in navigation. Without it, I would have needed my own phone. Therefore, make a reservation for rentals with GPS or plan to use a mapping application on your mobile phone. There was no problem with driving in France, but after switching the vehicle settings to miles, I felt more comfortable.

For more information, the Grand Royai Tourism Bureau has a wide range of English visitor information and resources. They also have a physical office opposite the street from Marriott.
