Alex Lees Tarot, now a former occult content creator, shocked fans late last month when he announced that he had become a Christian, deleted all of his previous TikTok content, and would no longer be doing tarot card readings.
Former psychic Jen Nitza, now a born-again believer, followed a similar path to Alex. Niza told CBN News that when he was 13 years old, tarot cards were a “gateway to the devil.” In fact, there are many parts of Alex’s story that Niza can relate to.
“I can really relate to that, because when Jesus first called me and first started drawing me, I was a medium,” Niza said, referring to Alex’s year-long conversion to Christianity. “So when Jesus first began to deliver me from that darkness, it wasn’t an instant deliverance, it was a process.”
Ultimately, Niza said he made the decision to give up fortune telling and his occult lifestyle after nearly a year of searching.
“At the end of that 10-month journey, Jesus completely freed me and I was born again,” she explained. “(I) accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior and believed the gospel.”
Alex, who did not want to give his last name, said that after going through his year-long process, he began to “struggle with questions” that were “completely impossible to ignore” and noted that the change in his beliefs happened “gradually” rather than overnight.
In a 10-minute video announcing his newfound faith, Alex said in part, “I don’t know exactly what’s going to happen next to me, but what I do know is that Jesus Christ saved my life. I can no longer ignore that reality.”
She has since changed her social media handles from “Alex Leeds Tarot” to “Alex Belongs to Christ” and revealed that she will not be returning to her previous routine of performing tarot card readings for her fans. This habit has earned the TikTok creator nearly 1 million followers. Since then, she has reportedly lost tens of thousands of followers across her social media accounts.
Only a select few people have been in Alex’s shoes and walked the dark path she has taken, and Nizza is one of them.
Asked what advice she would give Alex, Niza told CBN News that she would be “happy to talk to him” at any time, and encouraged him to join or continue attending a “robust, Bible-based church” where he can “disciple” his faith.
“You need a pastor,” Niza said. “You need your brothers to support you and encourage you. Of course, God comes first. Read the Bible every day and pray every day, because that’s actually how we are protected in spiritual warfare.”
Niza went on to urge Alex to prepare for spiritual warfare and attacks online. This trend is already beginning to surface among new believers.
“Even though the enemy is coming against you, he is coming against the whole Christian community, the whole church. You have victory in Christ,” Nizza encouraged. “(N)Never look back, because what you have put behind you will never be able to match Jesus. There is nothing better than Jesus. Reach out whenever you need support or help.”
Niza reminded Alex that as a Christian who has access to all the promises of the Bible, he is “armed” and has “the sword of the Spirit and victory in Christ.”
“I praise the Lord for what she does,” Niza added of Alex’s public profession of faith. “Thank you, God.”
