The popular online tarot card reader embraced Christianity, deleted all his old videos, created a new TikTok account and said, “Jesus Christ saved my life.”

“This will be my last post,” the TikTok user known as “Ordinary Alex,” who has more than 933,000 followers and 52 million likes, announced in a video last week.

“We will not be offering any more readings or sessions. We will not be creating any more tarot content. Once this account is gone, there will be no coming back.”

She expressed her gratitude, saying that her job has allowed her to interact with “amazing people from all over the world.” Although she didn’t specify her job at the beginning of the video, a YouTube account named “Alex Reads Tarot official” reveals that she is a tarot card reader and still has some of her old videos. The TikTok video included reflections on her faith journey and how it impacts her work.

“Over the past nearly year, my faith has become the most important thing in my life. Throughout that journey, I have spent a lot of time thinking, questioning, and praying to deepen my faith and understand more about where God is beginning to lead me,” she said. “This didn’t change overnight. It was a gradual journey that slowly changed my outlook on life and faith.”

“I don’t know exactly what’s going to happen next,” she admitted. “What I do know is that Jesus Christ saved my life, and I can no longer ignore that reality.”

In a video posted Monday, the social media influencer said she created a separate TikTok account that focuses on “conversations about the Bible” and “what the Lord is asking me to share.” She shared a link to her new account and revealed that her real name is Alexandra Ashcroft.

Her existing TikTok account only has a recent video and a video explaining her intention to stop doing tarot readings, and all other content has been deleted.

“We can’t get ahead of ourselves because we’re not worried about tomorrow. We’re not worried about tomorrow. We’re focused on where our feet are right now with this walk,” she declared.

Ashcroft urged people to follow her on her new account and reiterated her plans to delete existing accounts within the next few days.

“People are coming to their own conclusions, and that’s out of my control,” she said after addressing comments online about her decision to embark on a new chapter.

“I know the truth, God knows the truth,” she added.

Ashcroft’s new account has the handle “alexcourageinchrist” and has already posted one video. The video begins with her reading from the Bible, John 15:18. It says, “If the world hates you, remember that first it hated me.” Perhaps referring to the criticism he received for abandoning his past as a tarot card reader, Ashcroft suggested that he was “living witness to that fact.”

“If the world hates you, remember that the world first hated Jesus,” she added. “They crucified Jesus, and what I have been working on with Jesus…is the truth of the cross of Jesus.”

Ashcroft recently detailed what it was like to watch “The Passion of the Christ” for the first time and talked about the impact the film had on her.

“What God has reminded me of, and what Jesus has told me, is to never forget…the truth,” she said.

“Sometimes we hear that story multiple times a year. So often, we actually forget its depth and reality in our lives,” she continued, sharing details about the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.

“They tore Jesus’ clothes and tore the flesh from his body. His organs and internal organs were hanging out. A crown of thorns was stuck in his brain. They were nailed to a piece of wood. They had to physically stand in a line, stretch out his arms, stretch his legs down, and drive nails between the palms of his hands and his feet.”

Ashcroft said the crucifixion of Jesus is why she doesn’t care that “the world hates me.”

“I don’t care if people lie,” she said. “I don’t care about conspiracies, because nothing can match the sacrifice that Jesus made.”

“There is nothing comparable to this,” she insisted. “What I’m saying is that whatever trials and tribulations you’re facing right now, you’re loved. And whatever ridicule you’re facing right now, Jesus faced it. Jesus faced it in a way none of us will ever experience in our lives. And that doesn’t minimize my pain, and it doesn’t minimize your pain.”

Ashcroft ended the first video on his account declaring, “Jesus saved me,” adding, “We’re in this together.”
