Five musical artists will join Temple Square’s Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra to perform “Songs of Hope” benefit concert at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, California on June 24th and 25th.

The musical artists are Donny Osmond, David Foster, Katharine McPhee, Stephanie J. Block, Sebastian Arcels, the choir and the OC Tanner Gift of Music Trust, announced on Monday, May 11, at ChurchofJesusChrist.org.

Tickets for the concert can be purchased through the Hollywood Bowl website (hollywoodbowl.com). All proceeds from concert ticket sales will be donated to trusted charities such as CARE, Helen Keller International, and The Hunger Project. These charities are aligned with Caring for Women and Children, an initiative of the Relief Society of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which focuses on improving the health, education, and well-being of women and children through local and global efforts.

The church will match proceeds from concert ticket sales and double charitable donations from the event, the announcement said.

“This joyful evening of concerts presents a meaningful intersection of music and purpose,” Tabernacle Choir President Michael O. Leavitt said in the announcement. “We are returning to the Hollywood Bowl not only to celebrate a historic moment, but also to enjoy an evening of beautiful music from our choir and distinguished guest artists, and invite others to support the care of women and children around the world.”

The Tabernacle Choir first performed a century ago, on July 28, 1926, at the Hollywood Bowl to an estimated crowd of 15,000 people. The choir returned to the Hollywood Bowl stage on August 20, 1941, and again on May 23, 1963.

The Hollywood Bowl concert follows the 360-voice choir and 200-member orchestra’s recent “Songs of Hope” world tour, which includes performances in Mexico in 2023. In 2024, the Philippines and Florida and Georgia in the southeastern United States. Peru and Argentina in 2025. Guest artists are participating in each. Concerts in Argentina and Brazil can be viewed on Tabernacle Choir’s YouTube channel.

About the artist

donny osmond

Osmond has enjoyed more than 60 years of success in music, television, film, and live performance. He initially began playing with his brothers as part of the Osmonds. Since then, Donny Osmond has released more than 65 albums, multiple gold and platinum records, and hit songs such as “Puppy Love” and “Soldier of Love,” as well as providing the voice for “I’ll Make a Man Out of You” in the Disney film “Mulan.”

The Utah native had a successful touring production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat from 1992 to 1997, playing more than 2,000 performances, and reprized his role as Joseph in the film version in 1999.

He is an award-winning resident at Harrah’s Las Vegas, winning multiple awards for Best Resident Headliner and Best Production for shows in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Osmond family (Alan, Wayne, Merrill, Jay, Donnie, Jimmy, and Marie) performed with the choir and orchestra at the 2008 Pioneer Day Concert, celebrating their 50th anniversary by singing together as a family. Donny Osmond sang at Church President Russell M. Nelson’s 95th birthday celebration in 2019.

David Foster and Katharine McPhee

A composer, Foster has won 16 Grammy Awards, including Producer of the Year. Emmy Award. Golden Globe Awards. It was nominated for the Oscar for Best Original Song three times. The Canadian-American has created hit songs for many artists. He began performing in 2008 and 2011 and currently tours with his wife, singer McPhee. He also wrote the music for the new musical “Boop!” About the iconic animated character “Betty Boop” opening on Broadway in 2025.

McPhee appeared on Season 5 of “American Idol,” and her career includes film, television, Broadway, recording, and concert tours. She starred as Paige Dineen in the CBS spy drama “Scorpion” (2014-2018) and was one of the leads in the NBC musical drama “Smash” (2012-2013). She appeared on Broadway in New York City as Jenna in the hit musical Waitress, with music and lyrics by Sara Bareilles.

In 2022 and 2023, Foster and McPhee released portions of a Christmas album titled “Christmas Songs.” The bonus song was “Amazing Grace” performed by choir and orchestra. In 2009, Foster played the Salt Lake Tabernacle organ during a PBS special in which tenor Andrea Bocelli sang “Prayer” with choir and orchestra, according to Church News archives.

Stephanie J. Block and Sebastian Arcels

Bullock, a Tony Award-winning actor, and her husband Arcelus, a Broadway and television star, performed with a choir and orchestra in the 2025 Christmas concert.

Bullock appeared as Kate in the musical Kiss Me Kate at the Barbican Theater in London, England and on Broadway in the United States, and is touring the United States as the Baker’s Wife in the revival of Into the Woods. Bullock won the 2019 Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical, Drama Desk Award and Outer Critics Circle Award for her performance in “The Cher Show.”

Arcels recently played the role of Baker, opposite Bullock, in the Broadway revival and national tour of “Into the Woods.” On screen, he is best known for his roles as Jay Whitman on the long-running CBS series Madam Secretary and Lucas Goodwin on the Netflix original series House of Cards. Arcelus has appeared on television, Broadway, and film, and is also a voice actor.
