The First Presidency and Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints welcomed Estonia’s Ambassador to the United States, Christian Plick, and his wife, Reese, in Salt Lake City on Friday, February 27.
Those in attendance included President Dallin H. Oaks and his first and second counselors, Presidents Henry B. Eyring and D. Todd Christofferson, and Elder Quentin L. Cook of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, whom Mr. Prick first met in 2021, according to a news release posted on ChurchofJesusChrist.org.

During his visit to Utah, Mr. Prick spoke at the Ambassador Lecture Series at Brigham Young University in Provo and met with BYU President C. Shane Reese.
The Ambassador and his wife also toured the Welfare Plaza and observed the church’s efforts in food sustainability and welfare.

The church was officially recognized by the Estonian government in 1990. As the Church has grown in Estonia, members have translated key Church materials, such as the Book of Mormon, into their own languages.
In 1999, leaders dedicated the Tallinn Meetinghouse, making it the first Latter-day Saint meetinghouse in the Baltic States.

According to ChurchofJesusChrist.org, it currently has more than 1,100 members in four chapters across the country.
Elder Dale G. Renlund of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles visited Tallinn, Estonia, in May 2024 as part of a historic three-day mission in the Baltics.
