An undercover video produced by the pro-life advocacy group Live Action ostensibly shows a Minnesota family planning worker telling a woman that abortion is safer than carrying her baby to term.

An anonymous employee of the clinic in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, can be heard telling a woman on the phone that both in-person abortions and abortion pills are “really safe and effective.”

“Of course, if it makes sense, you can talk about it in more detail with your health care provider or others to get more accurate information,” the woman, who appeared to be a family planning system employee, explained to the woman, posing as if she were pregnant. “But I do know that they are, certainly, safer than giving birth to term, as far as that goes, I would say.”

Live Action released the nearly eight-minute video on Thursday, the day before the March for Life, as many pro-life advocates are calling on President Donald Trump’s administration to end the rollout of mail-in abortions with the pill mifepristone.

CBN News broadcast live on March for Life

This continued push comes on the heels of a viral exchange between Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Missouri) and abortionist Dr. Nisha Verma, who could not state with confidence whether the man was capable of conceiving. Verma had testified before Congress about the safety of mifepristone.

At another point in the live-action video, a person who appears to be a Planned Parenthood employee allegedly tells the woman that she cannot confirm what will happen after she takes an abortion pill to terminate her pregnancy.

“You’re pregnant, so when you have an abortion, you’re going to have bleeding and spasms and blood clots to get rid of the pregnancy or get rid of the baby, which means pregnancy,” the employee said, looking uncomfortable.

In yet another exchange, a woman in Santa Fe, New Mexico, was told by a Planned Parenthood employee that she did not need to undergo an ultrasound to “proceed” with an abortion.

The live agent was reportedly assured by a provider in Portland that she could secretly receive abortion pills in the mail without the parents knowing.

“Can I do this without my parents knowing?” the woman asked. In response, a family planning system official reportedly replied, “Yes, we will keep the information confidential.”

Planned Parenthood has not specifically responded to the revelations in Live Action’s latest video, but the company’s vice president of care access told the Daily Wire that the clinic “follows all applicable laws and regulations and always ensures that the care provided reflects the latest reliable research and maintains the highest standards of patient care.”

Danica Severino continued, “Following Planned Parenthood Federation of America medical standards and guidelines (developed and updated using rigorous scientific evidence and with medical experts in the field of sexual and reproductive health), Planned Parenthood Medical Center health care providers explain the risks and benefits associated with every medical service provided, as well as to patients seeking medical abortion.”

All of this comes as the White House has made several moves based on pro-life values.

In early 2025, President Trump signed an executive order implementing the Hyde Amendment, directing his administration to stop using federal tax dollars to fund or promote elective abortions, and undermining his predecessor’s efforts to expand federal support for abortion services.

The president also reinstated the Mexico City Policy, a Reagan-era rule that blocks foreign aid to international nongovernmental organizations that perform or promote abortions. According to a report on Fox News, President Trump announced in early January 2026 that he was expanding his policies to include promoting left-wing gender ideology and DEI programs.

The release of the live-action video came in conjunction with a letter from the advocacy group’s president, Lila Rose, to Health and Human Services Secretary Robert Kennedy and Food and Drug Administration Secretary Marty McCulley.

“Since its approval in 2000, this drug has claimed the lives of approximately 7.5 million children in the United States,” Rose wrote about the abortion pill. “A live-action investigation is now publicly documenting how regulatory deficiencies in safety manifest themselves in clinical settings, particularly within family planning facilities tasked with administering this drug under federal safeguards.”

She also urged lawmakers and White House officials to “reevaluate mifepristone’s approval and current regulatory status, increase transparency and data collection, and remove this dangerous drug from the market.”

Rose revealed that she met with Kennedy on Thursday, and the two “discussed in depth the dangers of abortion pills,” she wrote to X.

I met with Secretary Kennedy this morning. We had a thorough discussion about the dangers of abortion pills.
