New Native Search: Provides faster, smoother access to historical records, memories, and ancestors. All in one seamless native search experience on the app. Group Family Tree: Users can share, add, and change information about living family members in a secure, shared family group tree. Name Verification: Users can quickly verify names in historical records by reviewing what the computer finds and flagging errors. Each corrected name is a person whose living family can be found. Standardizing place names makes records easier to search and ensures rituals are available to people on family trees.
Facility Problem Report (FIR)

The FIR app allows leaders to report maintenance and repair issues outside of normally scheduled maintenance visits.
Users can choose the reason for their dissatisfaction when providing feedback.
Other changes
Family Tree Lite is discontinued: Family Tree Lite was originally a FamilySearch application designed for phones with small screens and limited functionality. FamilySearch has discontinued the Lite application because nearly all users now access FamilySearch Family Tree on more advanced mobile phones and other devices. The Sacred Music app will be retired in early January 2026. The Sacred Music app is integrated with the Gospel Library to provide a unified experience.
