Looking to further growth in 2026, Christian Daily International expanded its global footprint and multilingual coverage in 2025, reflecting the magazine’s commitment to professional, fact-based journalism that amplifies Christian voices from around the world. AI-generated by Gemini

As world Christianity continues to move into the Global South and new voices reshape the conversation, Christian Daily International closed out 2025 with expanded international coverage, a growing editorial team and increased visibility across Christian and secular media, while setting its sights on further growth next year.

Last year marked a series of milestones for the publication, including the launch of the French edition of Le Quotidien Chrétien, making it the third language after the English edition and Diario Cristiano in Spanish. This expansion reflects CDI’s stated goal of serving a broader global audience and expanding Christian perspectives across linguistic and cultural boundaries.

CDI continued to expand its editorial team in 2025, strengthening its on-the-ground reporting capabilities across Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East. This expansion allows us to provide deeper coverage of regional developments that are often underreported in Christian media around the world.

One notable example this year was CDI’s coverage from India, the world’s most populous country and one with a rapidly growing Christian population. Coverage included extensive reporting from the All India Missionary Conference (AICOCIM), which elevated local Christian voices and provided international readers with deeper insight into the challenges and opportunities facing the local church. This was one of many important events that CDI covered on the ground in 2025.

This publication is increasingly cited in multiple languages by Christian and secular media around the world, reinforcing its position among global Christian media as a trusted source of professional, fact-based reporting.

CDI also expanded its opinion and analysis offering in 2025, publishing an increasing number of exclusive editorials on issues ranging from artificial intelligence and mission to social and ethical challenges facing the church around the world.

The outlet has been recognized twice by the Evangelist Association. In May, CDI won the second place award of excellence, with one judge saying, “Christian Daily International truly provides a global perspective on the world’s Christian church. Its impressive range of articles and content serves a broad readership. Its focus on trusted news is impressive.” In October, CDI won the third place Best in Class award, with judges praising it as “the best place to get a broad picture of what’s happening in the church around the world.”

Among the most read articles of the year was a report by American comedian and commentator Bill Maher who drew attention to the media’s silence on the genocide of Christians in Nigeria. Throughout 2025, CDI continued its in-depth coverage of persecution incidents in Nigeria and other countries, with analysis and opinion aimed at helping readers understand the situation on the ground.

Pakistan also remained a country in the spotlight, as CDI reported on both the continued pressures facing Christian communities and recent developments that raised cautious expectations for change.

In addition to editorial growth, CDI reported an increase in viewership and social media engagement during the year. Coverage continued to prioritize major global and regional Christian gatherings and developments, especially as leadership, innovation, and theological reflection increasingly emerged from the Global South.

The publication also deepened collaboration within the Christian media ecosystem through formal and informal partnerships. In Latin America, CDI’s regional editor has joined the board of directors of COICOM, the Latin American network for Christian communicators.

Earlier this month, on December 12, Christian Daily International celebrated its second anniversary in 2023.

Gordon Showell Rogers, CDI’s International Director, said: “We are delighted to celebrate CDI’s second anniversary.” “We are encouraged by our extensive, principled, accurate and fact-based reporting, along with a wide range of opinion pieces and book reviews. Our goal has always been to help Christians around the world think and read.”

Showell-Rogers said the media’s growth into three languages and expansion of international coverage has been done without charging readers, which he said is central to CDI’s mission.

“We have been reporting both Christian news and broader news from a Christian perspective from around the world, biblically, factually and as personally as we know,” he said. “We are grateful for our growing audience and for being increasingly recognized and cited by other news organizations as a trusted source of global news.”

Showell-Rogers said CDI plans to continue expanding its reach into 2026, including launching its first podcast, working to attract younger audiences, adding more languages and providing deeper coverage in areas where coverage remains limited.

“We are grateful for God’s mercy and goodness in getting us here so quickly,” he said. “Thank you to our readers and supporters for joining us on this journey as we plan for even more growth in 2026.”
