Author and speaker Dr. Alex McFarland is on a mission to answer pressing questions about prophecy and the end times, and has published a new book that addresses these important theological themes.
McFarland, who has written a book titled “100 Bible Questions and Answers About Prophecy and the End Times,” is a longtime radio show host and has recorded the many apocalyptic questions he receives over time.

“In recent years, more and more people are asking questions related to the end times,” he said. “So we published a book called “100 Bible Questions and Answers.” It addresses exactly the questions and concerns that I feel are on the minds of radio listeners across America and, in fact, throughout the Western world.”
In fact, McFarland cited the power of the internet to connect people around the world on this issue, saying he sees prophecy as a tool that “quite regularly” leads people to the Christian faith.
“A few weeks ago, I got an email from a German guy in Romania who was listening to the livestream,” he said. “He…felt he needed to find God. So he told me he had been going to a mosque for a year…and was getting closer and closer to becoming a full Muslim.”
McFarland said the man called and they spoke, and inevitably she was able to “win him to Christ.”
“He didn’t feel at peace about Islam, but it was like all he had access to,” he said. “But he felt that, like all the unrest in the Middle East, the world was reaching a certain point where everything seemed to be coming together, and it was…”
With so much attention focused on Islam, the Middle East, and other related areas, it is not surprising that these issues raise questions and reactions.
“I think Christians really have an opportunity to say to people who are spiritually seeking, ‘Look, the Word of God has a track record of 100 percent accuracy,'” he says. “Galatians 4:4 says, ‘When the fullness of time came, God sent his Son, born of a woman, to redeem those who were under the law. Just as Christ came miraculously and on time the first time, so will He come the second time. And it is very likely that we are nearing that time, and people are thinking about it – they really are.”
As for where the world is on the prophetic timeline, McFarland said that although dates are unbiblical, there are “signs of the times” taught in the Bible.
“The Bible teaches that at the end of time, or just before the second coming of Christ, the nations of the Arabian Peninsula will ally against Israel,” he said. “I also believe that Russia and China will not only collude to attack Israel, but actually try to dominate the world.”
This is accompanied by other Biblical signs, some of which prophecy experts like McFarland believe may come true.
“I think the biggest sign that we are approaching the end times was the restoration of the state of Israel 77 years ago,” he said. “We can’t set a date, but we have to get our spiritual house in order. We can do that by coming to Christ.”
