Many questions remain as the nation continues to get caught up in after Charlie Kirk’s death, but the important development that America is witnessing is the surge in conversations about revival, and the masses of people become faith.

Dr. John Prake, editor-in-chief of the Bible Series State and chief innovation officer for the American Bible Society (ABS), told CBN News that his organization witnessed an incredible expression of faith across the United States in the recent wave of investigation.

“We have … from an unprecedented movement in my life towards the church, and from a place where we do not expect you to see it,” he said. “Before this moment we had witnessed 30 years of slides, reduced church involvement, reduced use of the Bible, and reduced belonging to the faith.”

Although ABS has not conducted any new research since Kirk’s death, recent research and reports from organizations from various churches across the United States show that the places of worship are falling into the faith of many more people.

Many believe that Kirk’s horrific assassination accelerated his spiritual revival.

“What we’re looking at is the latest and very tragic example of the fact that confusion raises questions about the way people live their daily lives,” says Plake. “And we’ve seen this for many years. We’ve been talking about the middle of moving, these are people like Bible test drivers. They say the Bible is a good idea and they may not interact a lot on their own.

He continued. “But what we’ve noticed is that in an age where they go through chaos, either in the negative confusion we saw with Covid, or in this latest incident with the Charlie Kirk murder, all of this leads people to say. If so, I’d like to get some answers.”

On Plake’s point, New York-based Rev. Mike Signorelli recently told CBN News that he saw 533 people accept Jesus on the first Sunday after Kirk’s murder. Other churches have similar stories.

“I started crying after hearing the numbers again,” Signorelli said. “Even thinking about it is overwhelming… 533rd decision (many) generations have been represented, and all races have been represented.”

Plake also spoke about other abs findings that show the benefits people are heading towards faith by higher interactions with the church and powerful outcomes of prayer.

“Whether we use Harvard’s human thriving scale, seeing stress or hope levels, or seeing a solid sense of identity or purpose in life, we have consistently found it, and again and again. All of these are very correlated with God, the Bible, and the relationships with His people,” he said. “So, I often say, if you’re struggling with life, the prescription is pretty obvious. Find out who you are by immersing in the story of God.”

These interactions have also intensified, with Bible sales rising 22% year-on-year, with increasing church attendance, particularly among young people.
