In a passionate speech two days after her husband was assassinated on a university campus in Utah, Erica Kirk took over her husband’s mission at Turning Point USA, vowing to spread the gospel and “crowd heaven.”
In tears, Charlie Kirk’s widow said when he returned home, his daughter Gigi asked, “Where is Dad?”
“What are you talking about to your three-year-old? She’s three,” the mother of the two said sadly. “I said, baby, Daddy loves you so much. Don’t worry. He works with Jesus, so he can afford your blueberry budget.”
Charlie Kirk’s suspected assassin was identified Friday morning after Taylor Robinson, 22, fled the 33-hour manhunt at Utah Valley University in Orem, where the TPUSA event is being held.
The shooter’s plot was an evil act, but Erica Kirk asserted that while everyone who loved her and her husband was heartbroken, he knew that God would use this tragedy forever.
“I honestly don’t know what this means. I know God will do, but I won’t. But I will do that too. … Our world is filled with evil, but our God, you, our God, are so good. God is incredibly good.
Warning “the person responsible for assassinating my husband,” Erica Kirk warned that she had unleashed the move to advance her husband’s mission.
“They killed Charlie for preaching the message of patriotism, faith, and God’s merciful love. They all should know this. If you think my husband’s mission is previously powerful, you don’t know,” she declared. “This widow’s cry echoes all over the world like a scream of war to everyone who hears tonight across America. The movements my husband has made will not die. It will not happen.
As the founder of TPUSA, Charlie Kirk played a pivotal role in securing President Donald Trump’s support among young voters, and most recently hosted the TPUSA Faith Forward Pastor Summit in Los Angeles, mobilizing Christian leaders to endure the tide of society’s evil.
Repeating the many pastors she shared this week, her husband was known for mobilizing young people and becoming a contributing member of society, but he said his most prioritized message was the message of the resurrected Lord. “In one of the final conversations he had on earth, my husband witnessed for his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Now and forever, he stands by his Savior and wears the glorious crown of a martian.”
Her husband’s activism, she said, is out of love for his country and its future. He especially wanted Americans to thrive in life by getting married and having children.
“Charlie always believed in God’s design for marriage and family,” she said. “It was the greatest joy of his life. And again and again he told all these young people to find their future spouse and become their wife, husband and parents, because he wanted you to experience everything.
Many have speculated that Charlie Kirk will one day run for president, but his spouse has shared that if he decides to take office, his primary policy priority is to “revive American families.”
Her late husband’s favorite biblical verse, Ephesians 5:25, says, “Because I loved your wife, I loved the church, and I gave up on myself for her.” She added.
Describing how her husband clearly demonstrated his love for her and her children every day, Erica Kirk shared what she had shared publicly in the past, saying, “He would ask me every day, “How can I serve you well? How can I become a better husband? How can I become a good father?” … He was the perfect father. ”
After encouraging high school and college students to participate in and start their own chapters, she urged Americans of all ages to begin or renew their relationship with God, emphasizing that no one would be too young and too old to succumb to Christ.
“More importantly, if you are not a member of the church, I ask you to join the church that believes in the Bible. Our battle is not just a political church. Above all, it is spiritual. … spiritual warfare is obvious.”
Repeatedly, her husband’s faith is the foundation he stood and relied on daily, she said his goal is for everyone to experience that same glory.
“Charlie loved his Savior with all his heart, and he wanted you all to know him too.
The young widow said that the radio show of his husband, which he loved so much, would continue and encourage her to join in to spread the gospel and continue to “be involved in saving this beautiful country.”
