Dr. Ben Carson worked as a respected neurosurgeon before running for president in 2016, and has since had an attractive career as former U.S. Housing and Urban Development Secretary during the first Trump administration.
But it was Carson’s Christian faith that most defined his life, and the doctor-turned-politician is joining forces with the Christian broadcast network for his new documentary, The Revival Generation, a film about “The Powerful Moves of God Strokes Through College Campus.”
Carson is one of the interview subjects in The Revival Generation, a film that explains the story behind these powerful spiritual events.
At the heart of the film is the account of Tonya Prutet, the mother who launched the prayer movement and founded Unites.
Carson joins Prewitt, Jenny Allen, Rev. JP Pokruda and many others to tell a powerful story. He told CBN News during the Revival Generation red carpet premiere at the Kennedy Center last Wednesday night.
“We’ve long thought we need a comeback,” Carson said. “In our country’s history there were usually four people around plagues and wars.”
He continued, “We’re going on all sorts of things. It’s one time. I’ve seen real encouraging signs, especially when traveling around the country, amongst young people.”

Carson said many of these young people experimented with what the world has to offer and realized they were missing something profound, and they were shortened. At both the national and individual level, Carson believes it’s time to stand up and regain his Biblical roots.
“Maybe it’s time to go back to our roots,” he said. “According to our founding documents, we say our rights come from our creators. Why do we run away from it and try to be like everyone else?”
Carson believes that people are beginning to understand why they have to go back to the Lord. Despite the sustained struggle on the social and political level, he is convinced that “the good guy will win in the long run.”
When asked to say that he believes he is causing so many Americans, and that the whole culture would shift more towards faith, Carson said, “People are brave.”
“They want to actually talk about what they believe,” he said. “In the past, when people have come up with political debates over the past few decades, they’ve been hiding in the corner and staring at the floor. They dare not to talk about what they believe.
Carson said he saw hundreds of students appearing on a university campus wearing an American flag and “proclaiming the name of Christ.”
“We’ve seen some of these situations where hundreds of people are baptized, and that’s no longer a shame,” he said. “It’s a pride and I think your kids realize that if you’re not in a brave home, you can’t become a land of freedom.”
One of the other emotions Carson is working on is division. It seems that it has been causing America more serious trouble in recent years.
“There are disagreements and we can still work together,” he said. “We are not enemies. …We have thrived hatred and division for a long time. It takes wax, and it’s abolishing it now.”
Carson continued. “The only way we can truly defeat our nation is from within. We cannot defeat it from outside. We have too many weapons, but we can easily split up, and Christ said, “A house divided into itself cannot stand.” And it’s a really big fight. ”
