Washington – So many Western fairy tales include the villains and beautiful maidens they captured. Fairy tales are more than just fantastical stories. They teach us about good and evil, and the dangers we encounter in life.

GK Chesterton once clarified the deep truth. “Fairy tales don’t tell children that dragons exist. The children already know that they exist.

Looking at the map of the world, there are many real “dragons” between North Korea and Vladimir Putin’s Russia.

“We just witnessed Putin’s trip to North Korea by UN Kim Jong,” says Jeff King, one of the world’s leading experts on religious persecution and president of international Christian concerns.

“They spent a lot of time making them seem strong and controlled, hoping to convey an aura of invincibility to deceive those they control and those who might try to save the ‘maidens’ they are taking prisoner,” he adds.

In the Washington Times manipulation “Enter the Dragon’s Rest,” King expresses a challenge that gives hope to those suffering in both North Korea and Ukraine.

Joseph Campbell, a well-known mythological expert, teaches that the greatest lesson in fairy tales is “the greatest treasure we seek is hidden in the caves we are most afraid to enter.” In other words, victory calls for us to stand up to our fears and boldly step into the dragon’s hideout. This is of course the last place we want to go.

Putin’s empire has experienced an incredible economic and military erosion. Wars are often perceived as merely a collision of weapons, but it is more fundamentally a test of the economy. The war is an insanely expensive event, and after observing the latest financial news in Russia, I feel safe saying that the particular “maidens” he holds in the tall tower will soon be free.

Regarding North Korea, I have studied and studied successive Kim administrations for over 20 years in my role as president of an organization that serves victims of religious persecution. And for me, the “maiden” he holds in Hightower is the over 100,000 secret Christians he has in concentration camps.

That “maidens” freedom – Christian prisoners – may not be as impending as the Ukrainian “maidens”, but I am sure freedom is beyond the horizon.

The key to defeating villains is first to reject images they spend a lot of time raising. It’s simply about believing that they can overcome.

We must face fear, enter the dragon’s den, fight, and gather courage to save the “maiden.”

Then, at the end of our days, we can say that we have done something truly noble and valuable with the freedom and great wealth given us.

And we could lie down with satisfaction that seemed to contradict all possibilities, and we made a happy ending for millions of people who would never believe they would defeat the dragon and escape from his grasp.
