1. President Oaks, President Eyring testifies to God’s help – Prophet Joseph Smith and “for each and every one of us”
Presidents Darrin H. Oaks and Henry B. Eyring were first and second counselors in the first presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and posted testimonies on their social media pages.
President Oaks called attention to many things Joseph Smith could achieve in his time as a prophet, saying, “The only possible explanation is the help of heaven.”
President Eyring testified that the trial was part of God’s wise and loving plan. “My sense of security is that the loving God who allowed these tests for you, has also designed a surefire way to pass them.”

2. President Eyring among senior officials celebrating the completion of the University of Utah’s applied science project
At the July 16th ribbon cutting ceremony at the Crocker Science Complex at the University of Utah, President Eyring expressed his gratitude to the university’s leaders and donors who made the new complex a reality.
“My hope is that people studying here may follow your example and use it to lift up any power and resources they have gained to gain and celebrate other people in future generations,” he said.

During his July 29 speech in the Republic of Turkier, Elder Jerit W. Gong of 12 Apostles for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, told the global faith leaders of religion on the World Council of Peace that it is now time to protect faith-based ethical values by calling on the ethical values and morals of faith-based ethical values.

The young men’s organization of the Latter-day Saints’ Church of Jesus Christ has a new presidency. President Timothy L. Farns and his counselors, brother David J. Wonderly and brother Sean R. Dixon began their service on August 1st.
