I believe God is possible. Still, I’m scared to pray sometimes, “even if it is.” To me, this phrase means “whatever it is,” and it scares me. what about you?
In Daniel 3:16-18, three brave men stood bravely at the edge of the fiery furnace, saying, “Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to protect ourselves before you. God or worship the gold image you have set up.”
When the temperature is rising in your own situation, are you ready to pray “even if”? Like Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego, you are focused on God’s perfect will, so are you ready to face anything that comes? Wherever you are on your journey today, there are some Bible reminders to strengthen your faith in the face of the horrifying unknown:
God is your help
Poem sal 54:4 (ESV) says, “Behold, God is my helper. The Lord is my supporter of my life.” I love the image that this poem offers, describing Him as a perseverant and supporter of our lives. I will allow you to imagine God as your help…
– Surprised by his glory.
– It is done with his hands.
– Enhanced by his power.
– Upheld by his words.
When God’s glory surrounds you, fear has no place. His strength will drive you forward when you are guided by his righteous right hand. The assurance of his words will guide you in all wisdom and truth. And when you become weakened, the strong arm of the Lord will be there to support you. Let these comforting visuals assure you of the mighty power of the Lord working in your life. You are loved, helped, and supported.
According to Psalm 46:1, “God is our shelter, our strength, and our constant help of trouble.”
When unknown fears prevent you from praying “even if you do,” turn to your helper. Confessing your heart concerns, “Trust me in you, God. You are a supporter of my life!”
You have a supporter
In John 14:15-17, Jesus says, “If you love me, keep my commands, and I ask the Father, and he will give you another defender to help you, and be with you forever – the spirit of truth.
We suffer from feelings of worthlessness and sometimes we hesitate to say “even if it is.” We feel unfit for God’s favor and therefore resist going “everything” in prayer. I have dealt with no value for my life, but in recent years I have realised it was a lie from my enemy.
One of the most amazing blessings of following Jesus is His Spirit, who lives in us and defends us. The Lord is for us, not against us (Romans 8:31). He supports us through difficulties and invites us to rely on his advocacy. At any time, we can acknowledge our fears and failures and receive the cleansing power of His mercy. This allows you to pray “even if it is” without any hints of embarrassment or regret.
Christ is worthy. Therefore, we are worth it. He will be with us forever and guide us with all the truth. The big question is whether we are walking through his truth or continue to believe in the lies of our enemies. Look at your supporters today and state your case. Put it all before him and trust him to become your great advocate.
Lord, thank you for sending your true spirit to cover up many sins and to defend me. I trust you in my life.
The Lord fills up
Psalm 145:17-19 states, “The Lord is righteous in all his ways, and is faithful to everything he does; He is close to everyone who calls him, everyone who calls upon the truth.
One of the greatest challenges in our faith is to trust God in absolutely everything. Can we really trust him to pass? Does he really care about our deepest longings:
– Save our loved ones?
– Return our exodig children?
– Do you want to heal our illnesses and illnesses?
– Do you miss our marriage and family?
These are human desires that require unwavering faith, but ah, how shaking we are! Even if it is “an analogy,” even if God appears to be different from what he expects, there is a steady trust that God will pass through. Example: The salvation of a loved one may not occur in our lifetimes. It may take decades for a spurt to return to a spurt. As we are guided to heaven, there is a possibility that complete healing will occur. The marriage may still be resolved, but it may recover in new and unexpected ways.
What we need to remember is that the Lord will fulfill our desires. Regardless of the outcome, we can certainly pray as an “event” and he is righteous and pray in all his ways. Do you always understand why things are allowed to happen? no. Do we sometimes have a hard time accepting the end result? yes. But more than anything, we know that the Lord is nearby. He is with us through trials and pain. He wants to give us the desires of our hearts and bless us with all the sweet fillings of holy, righteousness and pure. It is summed up for trust… moment, day by day.
Lord, please fill my heart’s longing, especially the longing for salvation. At your timing, make everything happen according to your good, comfortable, and perfect will. Even if God, I trust you.
