In a recent video discussion on CBN News, Arise co-founder and chairman Calev Myers responded to the growth of anti-Israel rhetoric from prominent conservative voices like Tucker Carlson and Candace Owens. While acknowledging their influence, Myers quickly realized that their views on Israel remained bordered in the global evangelical movement, which has overwhelming support for the Jewish state.

Myers believes that the voices of Israel overlook not only the political point, but also the deep spiritual truth about God’s character. “People who support anti-Israel views have missed a great blessing,” he said. He added that throughout the Bible he repeatedly identifies God as “the Lord of your God who brought you out of Egypt.” This phrase appears more than 140 times in the Bible and is not a random identifier. It reveals God as a Savior, a Birthman, a Person who responds to injustice.
Myers points out even more surprising. The Bible prophes a time when God no longer known as a man who brought Israel out of Egypt, but also prophesses the Jews back from the nation to their ancient homelands. This rebirth, written in sentences like Jeremiah 23 and Ezekiel 36, unfolds in real time, a miracle of modern history and a powerful will of the faithfulness of the God’s covenant.

According to Myers, God has linked his name and reputation to the restoration of Israel. “When I bring you back from the country and put you in your land, I will redeem my name,” he quotes Ezekiel. Despite Israel’s imperfections, its restoration demonstrates an unchanging commitment to God’s promises. “If he can return to his promise to Israel,” warns Myers.
He emphasizes that Israel’s rebirth is a “trophy of grace.” It is not a reward for righteousness, but an indication of God’s mercy and his faithfulness in the covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. “God was Ezekiel and said, “I am not doing this for you, Israel… you are embarrassed. But I will do it for my name.”
Myers also tackled the strange theological drift where declarations like “Christ is King” are used in several circles to reduce Israel. “When you say, ‘Christ is king,’ you say the Jews are king,” recalled Myers. “Jesus is Jewish. You cannot separate him from his identity.”

Rejecting alternative theology that the Church claims to have replaced Israel in God’s plan, Myers encourages a balanced view that embraces both spiritual Israel (the believer of Christ) and physical Israel (the Jews and their homeland).
For those willing to embrace the perfect biblical story, Israel’s modern existence is not only political. It is a testament to the living, breathing that the Bible God still keeps his promises. As Myers concluded, “If you cannot rejoice in it, you are missing out on a beautiful understanding of God’s character.”
