Next is the prayer text provided by Elder Gary E. Stephenson, a quorum of the 12 Apostles, to offer the offering of the Antofagusta Chile Temple on Sunday, June 15th, 2025.
In the holy name of our beloved Father, Heaven, Your Son, Jesus Christ, we saints gather today to dedicate the Temple of Antofagasta to you and your beloved Son. Our hearts are grateful to your sacred home and this historic day of dedication in this beautiful part of your vineyard.
We are grateful for the restoration of the gospel in this distribution, and we are even continuing through the head of the prophet Joseph Smith, our modern prophet, President Russell M. Nelson. We love, respect, support him, and wish him continued health and vitality.
We thank you, God, the eternal Father, author of the great happiness plan that will allow us to receive the blessings of the temple. We thank your beloved Son, Jesus Christ, and your advocate for you and our Savior and Savior. We thank you and Him for His infinite tone sin, and provide you with the path to eternal life together with you and our family. We thank the ample experts in the churches that enable the construction and maintenance of temples around the world.
Now our heavenly Father is in the sacred name of your son, Jesus Christ, by the authority of the priesthood of Holy Melchizedek, acting under the direction of President Russell M. Nelson. We dedicate ourselves to you. We dedicate and consecrate the Lord’s house to the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, for a sacred purpose. We offer this whole sacred structure and the basis for functioning primarily in holiness as the Lord’s house according to its design. May all these facilities be protected from the damage of nature, time and the hands that harm them.
We congratulate Chile and its citizens. We bless the leaders of this region and this country, allowing your spirit to be with them, their hearts and hearts drawn to you, and the principles of freedom and human dignity to flourish.
We ask you to congratulate the temple president and matron, the president’s counselor and matron’s assistant. Bless those who will play these sacred roles in the future. Bless all other temple workers into sacred roles and help gather Israel on both sides of the veil. Enhance spiritual and temporary blessings, joys and knowledge to bless all the customers who worship and serve here.
We pray that the proximity of this temple is a blessing for members of this temple district and that you bless each member and family with the desire and circumstances of worshiping here frequently. We pray that the hearts of the rising generation may be upset with the zeal to follow this covenant path to your holy home.
We love you and we hope you will accept this dedicated Antofagasta Chile temple as the home of the Lord. We close devotion to you with the sacred name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
