Editor’s Note: To support individuals and families in gospel learning, Church News has published an article about the message from the April 2025 General Conference. In addition to reviewing these church resources, we recommend asking and reading the full address.

About this story

Read the full message here. Read a summary of President Eyring’s message here.

overview

Those who enter the kingdom of Jesus Christ by covenant take his name to themselves. In his love, the Son of the Glorious God invites humans to come closer to him. Always remember him, seek him through biblical studies, and feel close to him through prayer. Jesus approaches him through prayer to his Heavenly Father, hears the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and offers the opportunity to serve others in a cheerful manner. During his sacramental encounter as a young man, President Eyring felt the love and intimacy of his Savior through the comfort of the Holy Spirit. They told him the sadness that Jesus had died, trusting him as Israel’s Savior. The disciples said to one another, “Has our hearts not burned in us?” (Luke 24:32) Then they rushed back to Jerusalem and used the return of the Savior to convey it. Christ appeared to the apostles and reassessed the prophecy of his mission to atone sin and break the belt of death. They were “witnesses of these things” (Luke 24:48). They are faithful to those promises, so the Lord will be alone with them in their service, lightening the burden. Loved people who roam the path to eternal life can serve the Lord’s faith, and His power comes close to them. The covenant servants of Jesus Christ receive his instructions from the spirit as they bless and serve others for him. The Lord is alive. This is his true church. The day of judgment is a time of great joy for those who approach him in his service.

Reflection Questions

To track the Savior’s invitation more closely this week, can we pursue “close (him) near me” (Doctrine and Covenant 88:63)?

How did the Savior ease your burdens while you made and continued your contract?

Can the invitation of Mosiah 18:8-9 live more fully?

How has serving others helped you to get to know your Savior?

When is your closest to the Savior? How can I make more time for these experiences?

Speaker quotes

“We sometimes feel close to Jesus Christ, the Savior. But sometimes, during our human trials, we feel a little separate from him, hope that he knows what is in our hearts, and we love us as individuals. “The beloved son.” Like his beloved disciples, the natural father who chose to enter through the gates of baptism is a witness to the Savior and to care for those in need through our deadly lives.

Reference Bible

“Go near me, and I will approach you. Ask me eagerly. You will find me. You ask, and ye will knock, and it will open to you. He said to them: Behold, here is the water of Mormon, and now you wanna be called His people, so they are pleased, and they are lightly comforted, and comforted all of them. You may be numbered along with the first resurrection that, even until death, ye may be reded from God, and that you may have eternal life.”

You may come closer to your Savior, Jesus Christ. Yet, during our human trials, we may feel a little distance from him, and hope for assurance that he knows what is in our hearts and loves us personally.

Invitations and promises

“Jesus Christ loves each and every one of us. He offers him the opportunity to approach him. Like his beloved friends, you communicate through prayer to your Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus Christ, hear precious guidance from the Holy Spirit, and serve others for the Savior. His service will be with you, you will come to know the Savior, and you will become like him. Heavenly Father.

story

If someone is away from a dear friend for a while, they cherish the messages they receive and do everything they can to help them. The deeper the bond of affection, the closer your friends will get. However, as more time passes without important communication and the opportunity to help each other, the bond weakens. Similarly, believers can approach Jesus Christ through prayer to their heavenly Father, listen to the Holy Spirit, and serve others. He felt light and warmth by gathering with the saints and making a deal with Saint Cra, and making a deal with the heavenly Father as he always remembers his son. At the end of the meeting, the hymn “remain on me. “Eventside” brought him an overwhelming sense of spirituality, and felt the intimacy of the Savior. They told him their sorrow that Jesus had died, not knowing that he was there. They invited the Savior to stay with them, and they went to break the bread. Christ blessed Pan, and when his disciples recognized him, Jesus was gone. The disciples said to one another, “Our hearts did not burn within us (Luke 24:32).
