In a mixed prophetic conversation with Taylor Welch, Rev. Mike Signorelli shared urgent insights into the current state of the prophetic movement and the meaning of walking within true spiritual authority.
“There are many prophets in America who specifically have the gift of a prophet, but they do not submit to the Holy Spirit,” warning Signorelli. “They can see the real thing… but we have to be really careful.”

Rather than identifying himself as a prophet, Signorelli says, “I consider myself a watchman… in a prophetic, apostolic port.” From his base in New York City, he sees his role in speaking out what God reveals at the spiritual gates of the nation.
He explains, “To know something and see something is not synonymous with saying something… God may have given you permission to observe, but may not have given you permission to speak.”
As a pastor at a multi-canvas church, Signorelli emphasized the importance of spiritual hierarchy and biblical authority, warning that “social media has convinced many that they are truly in the realm of higher authority.”
His prophetic ministry is grown in secret places, he says. “Some of these major global prophetic words were just doing what every Christian should do… a basic Christian discipline, like the average Christian discipline, will create above-average opportunities.”
Signorelli also gave strong attention to identifying true prophecies to followers. “If you’re following a prophet who doesn’t actively encourage your audience to identify what they’re saying… it’s a red flag.” He also pointed out financial motivations as another warning sign: “Are they profitable prophets?”

“There are a lot of Christians who are shining right now, not burning,” he says. “The Lord’s proverb: “You both emit light, but only one of you will emit scent.”
In his prophetic accusations to the Church, he declares:
Ultimately, Signorelli encourages followers to embrace sacrifices for performance. “I decrease as he increases, and I’ll get out of the way so that he can go my way.”
