When Tae Hui Kwon, the stake president of South Korea in Seoul, was called in 2021 and left, he said he noticed that members of the stake who spoke or testified about Jesus Christ at their meetings rarely spoke or testified.

He prayed and pondered the Lord’s stakes.

“We have contemplated how we can apply what the Prophet Nephi taught in America to the lives of saints: “And we will talk about Christ.

He also recalls what President Russell M. Nelson taught in his April 2017 general conference, “Pictures of Jesus Christ in Our Life.” There he spoke about how 15 prophets, visionaries and revelations issued and signed their testimony in his historical testimony entitled “The Living Christ.”

President Nelson said: “Many members remember that truth… When you want to learn more about Jesus Christ, I encourage you to study the “living Christ.” ”

President Kwon was inspired by studying and remembering documents issued 25 years ago on January 1st this year.

Later, whenever he visited the stake ward or branch, he encouraged his members to remember “the living Christ” and remember it every day.

The response was surprising, and members are blessed for their efforts, the church’s Korean newsroom reported.

Gyeongjin Park in YSA Branch, Seoul, remembered “Living Christ” as a gift to commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ at Christmas. She shared her thoughts in a Korean Newsroom Report published a few days before Easter.

“I was able to understand the tone sin of Jesus Christ more deeply, and for the first time he began to touch me,” she said.

Park prayed in each sentence and reviewed what she remembered frequently in her daily life.

“I was able to think of Jesus Christ and see him frequently not only on Sundays but also on weekdays. Just as I thought more about Jesus Christ, I was able to recognize his hands and love more often,” she said.

This strengthened her faith in him – his role in the planning of happiness, his love for his heavenly Father, and his love for everyone.

Hyun Jik Joo from Anyan Ward had already remembered “The Living Christ” twice when she served as the young female president of her stake. After talking to a young woman in Gangnam District 1, she decided to memorize “The Living Christ” in English.

“I saw that he was baptized, walked the Palestinian path, healed illnesses, made the blind man see, accused of all humanity on the cross, his resurrection and a visit to ancient America,” Ju said.

The phrase that stuck with her was, “I am your advocate with my father” (Doctrine and Contract 110:4). This gave her a sense of his love and peace in her heart.

“When I remembered this, I was able to know Christ in greater detail and have a better understanding of what he did and his mission,” Ju said.

Park and Ju said that, like the testimony of prophets in the Old and New Testaments, they can also testify that Jesus Christ is alive today.

One member who was at home for a week on sick leave used his time to remember the declaration. A busy mother printed paragraphs and posted them around her kitchen so she could look at them and recite them while cooking and washing the dishes. My family posted the entire document inside the front door so I could read it every time I left the house. And it felt so good for stakeholders to memorize “living Christ” that she remembered “Family: Declaration to the World.”

“Through these experiences, we can certainly testify to how stake members in southern Seoul have come to approach Jesus Christ and lead a life that he sees.”
