Famous Christian writer Lee Strobel said Americans’ interest in “area beyond what we can see” drove him to write his latest book: the quest for the supernatural.
Recently released “Supernatural: Investigating the mysteries of the Anducting Angels, Demons, Mystical Dreams, Near Death Death Deathers and other invisible worlds,” Strobel says data that the vast majority of Americans who believe in these biblical topics want to deepen him.

“I told me this is a bridge that allows us to connect with people who may be far from God but who are interested in the supernatural,” he said to me and actress Jen Lily on our new “Into the Supernatural” podcast. “It may be their gateway to really learn about what the Bible teaches about the world beyond our physical realm.”
Strobel continues, “Being an evangelist has always been my desire.”
However, the author, who over the past few years called it an “adventure” to get the opportunity to dive into these topics, said that some Christians are reluctant to fully embrace their respective feelings.

With that in mind, Strobel has taken care to select cases with many support to clarify these issues. Near-death experience is one arena that he was fascinated by the powerful evidence that the supernatural unfolded.
“You start seeing documented cases of near-death experiences where people see and hear people see and hear things that were impossible to see or hear if they had no real in vitro experience after a clinical death,” Strobel said. “It only reinforces what the Bible tells us about the supernatural realm, and I think it gives us more courage.”
Strobel shared such stories about a woman who had died clinically in the hospital and claimed she had her mind separate from her body.
She said she can travel to the ceiling during the experience and see her body resuscitated.
“When she finally resurrected, she said, ‘Oh, by the way, it’s a ceiling fan in the emergency room, and on top of the blade is a red sticker,” he said. “And she couldn’t see it. It was on the top of the ceiling blade so no one could see it from the room. So, they got the ladder and went up, so certainly there’s a red sticker that she could only see from the perspective of her spirit floating near the emergency room ceiling.”
Strobel encountered other examples like this, and he was included in the book.
These issues attract culture attention as faith appears to be revived. And Strobel said he has noticed something else – for the first time in history, “people are making ‘scientific enquiries about miracles’ to prove their existence.
“In other words, they’re testing the documents scientifically and in ways I don’t think I’ve done that much in the past,” Strobel said. “And we’re looking at a documented miracle case that awakens people to the fact that this is not a hopeful idea. It’s… not a placebo effect, not a scam, not a fake. There are documented cases.”
He also cited cases of medical healing surrounding a blind woman whose husband prayed for her night and begged the Lord to heal her vision.
“He says, “Lord, I know you can heal blindness. I know you can do it. And Lord, I pray that you do it tonight. “And she has turned to perfect vision, which has been going well for the past 47 years.”
Such a medically documented story is sure Strobel is certain that “something is going on.”
“And I think this is something that opens people’s eyes to the fact that these aren’t just the stories you heard at Sunday School,” he said. “But you dig into many of these stories to find material. And you find people with witnesses who have no motivation to deceive. You have medical records and more.”
