As Easter approaches, members of the first presidency of the Latter-day Saints’ Church of Jesus Christ share their messages on social media about the tone sin and resurrection of the Savior.

Read about their posts here.

President Russell M. Nelson: Resurrection is the “ultimate expression of love”

In a social media post on March 16th, Church President Russell M. Nelson invited individuals to remember that the tone sin of Jesus Christ included suffering in the garden of Gethsemane and his death on the cross of Calvary, but both of these “great sacrifices” are incomplete without “the crown of his glorious resurrection.”

The post of President Nelson continues is the tomb of the garden, and the work of a oxidation of Jesus Christ was fully realized, and his victory over sin and death truly became perfect.

“When I speak to each of us about the greater love of Jesus Christ, I testify that the resurrection of Jesus Christ is the ultimate expression of that love,” writes President Nelson.

President Darrin H. Oaks: Evidence of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ

President Dallin H. Oaks, the first counselor of the first presidency, cited the biblical evidence of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, found throughout the New Testament. These include:

The Savior’s appearance in the empty tomb walks with the tomb of Mary Magdalene (John 20:11-18), the first person to witness the resurrected Lord, and with the resurrected Christ, and later eats with him (Luke 24:13-35). (Luke 24:42-43). The apostle Thomas feels wounds on the Savior’s hands, feet and sides (John 20:27). At the same time, 500 people see the Lord, who was resurrected in Galilee (1 Corinthians 15:6). (“But now Christ will rise from the dead, and become their first fruit in sleep”) and 1 Corinthians 15:22 (“As Adam, everything dies, all Christ is alive and alive.”).

“The Church of Jesus Christ, the Latter-day Saints, confirms that Jesus Christ came out of the tomb and is living as a resurrected being today,” President Oaks wrote in a March 16th post.

He also wrote that for the sin and resurrection of the Savior, all those who had lived to this point will also be resurrected and lived forever.

“The universal revival is certain, and it’s literal,” writes President Oaks. “The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the most illustrious event in history.”

President Henry B. Eyring: “All the children of Heavenly Father will rise again.”

President Henry B. Eyring, the second counselor for the first presidency, posted a painting by Kelsey and Jesse Lightweave on social media on March 9th, entitled “Healer.” It depicts the Savior gently holding the man’s face as he looks up and holds his arm. Bright light envelops them.

“As Jesus Christ broke the belt of death, all the children of Heavenly Father will rise again in perfect, resurrected bodies that will never die,” President Eyring wrote in his post. “This solid promise can turn the sorrow of losing a loved one into hope and fill our hearts with the joyous expectations of peace and reunion.”
