The American Presbyterian Church issued a statement of repentance after one of its websites published guidance advising illegal immigrants on how to avoid immigration and customs enforcement detention in the United States.
Since it was released in January by the PCA mission to North America in January, the pages that have been discontinued provide recommendations such as not carrying documents indicating the country of origin and disclose information about criminal history. Not there. The guidance went viral on X last week, prompting Swift’s backlash.

Following the removal of the resource, MNA Director Irwyn Ince issued a statement of repentance and admitted the mistake.
The mission to North America serves the PCA for the advancement of the Kingdom of Christ through the Church in the United States and Canada. We do this with two focuses on church planting and church vitality. Our church planting efforts will encourage the launch and support of new PCA churches. Our Church’s vitality efforts provide the resources of ministry that allow our churches to grow towards missionary missionary missions to their communities, and to our neighbors as our Lord’s command. I will love you (Matt 22:39). One such long-standing MNA ministries is our Ministry of Refugees and Immigration.
Recently, we posted a link to an external organization on our webpage. MNA leadership mistakenly allowed them to post content that advises undocumented people on how to prevent authorities from being detained.
We also apologise for causing confusion and surprise at our church. All previously posted information has been removed from the website.
MNA’s Ministry of Refugees and Immigration, together with other MNA ministries, is trying to serve our church with resources that allow us to follow our Church faithfully to our Lord’s call to love strangers. Masu. However, the MNA is not engaged in legal advice, political campaigns, or providing partisan positions. Future information will provide church resources in line with confessions for guidance on the issue.
The MNA Permanent Committee holds a spring meeting in the first week of March, and the issue has been organized for more focused discussions as part of regular oversight of MNA ministries. . The committee will do this on behalf of the PCA’s annual general meeting in June.
“We assert that it is our Christian duty to obey the legal orders of the civil magistrate and be subject to their authority,” Inse said in the Bible passages and Westminster’s Confession of Faith. I mentioned it by quoting it. “Advising is a sin otherwise. We confess that we have not met biblical, confessional standards. We repent and apologize.”

As Christian Post reported, Zachary Groff, a senior pastor at the Antioch Presbyterian Church in Greer, South Carolina, and a member of the committee that oversees the MNA, said that many of the denominations had “very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, “I’m worried.”
“PCA Rank and Files are not at all happy to support what’s published,” Groff said.
He added that the guidance is misguided but believes it stems from a “goodwill desire to love our neighbors that are not properly defined.”
