Speaking in Germany, US Vice President JD Vance criticized the European government for restraining freedom of speech and discriminating against Christians. He urged European leaders to reverse conservative voices and continued crackdowns on religious freedom.

In his speech at the Munich Security Conference held in Munich on Friday, Vance pointed out that conservatives were investigated, arrested, charged or fined for protesting abortion and posting opinions on social media. did.

He also criticized attempts to remove populist parties from political cooperation, saying they pose a threat to democracy.

Last month, the European Union introduced fresh measures to implement the Digital Services Act, which restricts American speeches on social media platforms. EU lawmakers argued that the initiative was to target “foreign intervention” and “illegal content,” but raised concerns among US freedom of speech advocates. Their global annual sales.

Paul Coleman, executive director of legal advocacy group ADF International, warned that a “new bipolar order” was unfolding at the time. “On the other hand, Europe doubles censorship, while the US recommends a heritage of freedom of speech.”

“I can say it clearly to you. If you are afraid of the voices, opinions and consciences that guide your own people, you are not safe,” Vance told Munich. “What I’m worried about is the retreat of Europe from the threat from within, some of its most fundamental values.”

The Vice President argued that Europe was facing a crisis of “its own work,” pointing to censorship and ignored voter sentiment as greater danger than external enemies.

German President Frank Walter Steinmeier disputed Vance’s stance, saying, “It is clear that the new American administration has a very different worldview than us.” He warned Europeans that they had lost sight of the threat from Russia and China, and expressed concern that friction with Washington could undermine the long-standing partnership.

German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius also expressed strong opposition to Vance’s remarks and interrupted him by yelling “No!” And later defended a European approach to defending democracy, the WSJ said.

Vance mentioned alleged terrorist attacks in Munich. There, Afghan immigrants rushed into the crowd and injured more than 20 people. “European voters went to the ballot box and did not open the locks for millions of economic migrants,” acknowledged the growing tensions over immigration policy.

Vance’s address: Alice Weidelx, co-leader of the German (AFD) party’s alternative party, known as “Excellent Speech!”;

Vance called on German politicians to abandon the so-called firewall. This is an established agreement between the parties not to cooperate with the AFD, and it advocates respecting voter preferences. He cited examples of anti-Christian discrimination and noted that British and Swedish individuals were punished for expressing religiously motivated views.

Last October, Adam Smith Connor, a British Army veteran who served in Afghanistan, was found guilty of quiet praying near an abortion clinic in Dorset, England. He was given conditional discharge. This means that he will only be sentenced if he is convicted of a crime within the next two years.

Vance suggests that the government will reinforce uncertainty about future American support and reduce religious and speech.

Referring to the German protests against Elon Musk’s involvement in local politics, Vance said, “If American democracy survived Greta Samberg’s old for most of the decade, I’d like to hear you.” “We guarantee that German democracy will survive Elon Musk.”
