Tim Allen is on track for mental improvement.

The 71-year-old star, in a recent post on his X account, was a “treasure” that he has begun to read the Old Testament and study the New Testament.

“Nearly a year later, I finished the entire Old Testament, rereading and a dedicated focus experience. I have never made this a humble and overwhelming experience,” he wrote on Saturday. “What a treasure.”

Allen, who was hit on the sitcom Home Information as a star in the 1990s, was added three days after reading a book in the New Testament.

The “Shift Gear” star has posted about reading the Bible in the past.

CBN News reported in August 2024 that Allen had a “surprising” experience studying the Bible, calling him “nothing I was expecting.” When he made those comments, the actor finished reading the Old Testament.

“In my years I never spent time reading and reading the Bible,” he wrote. “Now, I’ve almost finished with the Prophet through the Old Testament of the Jerusalem Bible, then up to the New Testament. So far, I’m not at all surprised what I’ve been expecting.”

According to gotquestions.org, the Bible in Jerusalem is a Roman Catholic translation of the Bible, including books that the Roman Catholic Church calls “secondary sect.”

“The state of Israel treated the books of Foreigners/Deuteronomy with respect, but never accepted them as true books of the Hebrew Bible,” the outlet said. “The early Christian churches discussed the status of the Apocryphal/Deuteronomy, but early Christians believed that they belonged to the scope of the Bible. The New Testament was quoted from the Old Testament. It’s been quoted hundreds of times, but none of the typical/returns are cited anywhere.”

In an update last fall, when he was still reading the Old Testament, Allen said he had just finished reading Ezekiel’s “pretty intense” book and was beginning to study Daniel.

Hollywood stars have spoken about their faith on a daily basis.

In a 2011 interview on ABC’s “20/20,” he questioned the then host Elizabeth Vargas after the famous was fatally hit by a drunk driver when he was only 11 years old. He said he’s started. Allen said he “doesn’t like the idea of God” and was “continuously cynical” about the Almighty.

But in the end he came. He told Vargas that he began to see God as what he called a “builder.”

“I always ask… to builders, ‘What do you want me to do?” he said. “And I ask that, but you have to prepare for the answer.”
