Making an inspired choice is not about getting a yes or no for every possible decision. It is to live in a higher and sacred way. It is the Lord’s way. It also described the young women general president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in “doing your best.”

Young female general president Emily Bell Freeman and her counselors, Sister Tamara W. Lani and sister Andrea Munoz Spannas, were the first in their guide to “Youth Strength” entitled “Make Inspired Coinces.” We discussed the chapter. Young Women’s Worldwide Instagram account and Facebook page on Tuesday, February 4th.

President Freeman said he wanted to share some of the presidency’s favorite parts of the chapter, as well as notes he made in the margins of the book on pages 4-5.

Sister Runia said: “This guide is an inspirational document that will help you move from rules to reasons. This is why we choose, and motivation is important.”

She told listeners that President Russell M. Nelson’s keeping Sabbath Day a holy day is to give God a sign, not just a list of things to do, but a list of things to do. It reminded me of what I taught (“The Sabbath is a joy”), April 2015 General Assembly).

Sister Rania states in the sixth paragraph of chapter 1, “Other people can help you, but your spiritual growth is personal.”

The Runia sisters said: “It is between you and the Lord. He knows your heart.”

In the same paragraph, President Freeman says, “Do your best.” She tells people watching the video that her legs are broken now and she feels slowly, but the Lord knows that she is doing her best. …He knows we are doing our best, and that’s what we love about repentance. Try to do your best. ”

Sisters Spannaus said that a favorite part of the chapter is that they say, “Your Father in Heaven will trust you.” In that same paragraph, this sentence looks like this: “He knows you can make a difference in the world. In many cases, it requires that you be different from the world.”

Sometimes people don’t like different things. Sister Spannaus said, sometimes someone’s choice needs to be different from a friend’s choice. Daniel of the Old Testament chose to be strong in the decisions he made, and the Lord blessed him.

“There may be some big decisions in our lives, but the most decisions we make are daily decisions and small decisions,” Sister Spannaus said.

Sister Rania said she likes to think about whether choices or decisions bring more light to her life, or whether it takes light or take away. Will those things strengthen the spirit or take it from it?

In the second paragraph of the chapter, President Freeman pointed out the number of words related to a building, including foundations, measurements, builds, and buildings.

“It’s about making Jesus Christ your standard, a solid foundation for your rock. And “build your life in His teachings and measure your choices by them.” I say,” she said. Instructions and making covenants in the temple bind each and every one to the Lord.

Someone asked at a live Instagram event how to know if they are doing their best. President Freeman said one of the best things to do is pray. When she prays and asks her Heavenly Father how she is doing, she feels a sense of security that she knows what she is going through and what she is going through. .

President Freeman invited the young woman to read the first chapter and discuss with her class of the month. By sharing your favorite lines with each other, and next month we will study and discuss the next chapter entitled “Jesus Christ Help You.” That too.
