The 2026 Youth theme was announced by the Young Women and Young Male General Presidents of Latter-day Saints’ Church of Jesus Christ.

The theme of youth chosen in 2026 is “Walking with Me.”

This is based on Moses 6:34. “Behold, I will see my spirit in you, and all your words will be justified by me, and the mountain will run away before you.

Young female president Emily Bell Freeman told church news that people don’t need to live in the Mormon Times book or walk along the path of the sacred land with Christ.

“Every time I open the Bible, I have the opportunity to walk with Christ,” President Freeman said. “Every time we stand as his witnesses, we walk with him. Whenever we mourn with others, or help to comfort or burden our friends, these are the moments we walk with Christ.”

President Freeman said that Jesus Christ “wanted to do good” (Acts 10:38).

“We look forward to the year when we discover that Jesus Christ is in our midst.

Young male general president Timothy L. Farns said he said he would look to Christ this year.

“I love knowing that one of his greatest desires is that we walk with him. He never expected us to walk this journey alone,” he said.

President Ferns pointed out that Peter was leaving the boat and walking to Christ. The miracle happened when Peter began walking with Christ. And miracles happen when people walk with him.

“This happens every time we reach out to our Father in heaven in prayer. The moment we open the Bible and find him, we walk with him every day, in all these moments, every day, when we accept the gift of daily repentance rather than hearing and acting, ignoring and delaying,” President Ferns said.

Use the youth theme for 2026

Parents and youth leaders are encouraged to teach principles from themes at home and at church throughout the year. This theme can be used as a topic for sacramental meetings given by youths and can focus on youth activities such as camping, youth meetings, and prayer. This theme is emphasized for the strength of youth conferences and the global youth prayer.

Corresponding resources, including theme songs, additional music, sheet music, and downloadable artwork, will begin publishing in several languages at Youth.churchofjesuschrist.org or Gospel Library at the end of October. Notifications will be sent when additional languages become available, and will explain emails sent to local church leaders and notifications about churchfjesuschrist.org.

Additional resources are available in the January 2026 issue of Youth Magazine’s strength.

Previous Youth Theme

The theme of the youth every year comes from the Bible book I studied at that year’s “Come, Follow Me.” In 2026, “Come, Follow Me” will focus on research in the Old Testament.

The theme of youth in 2025 is “seeing Christ” based on Doctrine and Covenant 6:36.

The theme for the youth in 2024 was “I am a disciple of Jesus Christ” from 3 Nephi 5:13.

The theme of youth in 2023 was “I can do everything through Christ, who strengthens me.” From Philippians 4:13 in the New Testament.

In 2022, the theme of youth came from Proverbs 3:5-6 in the Old Testament. “With all your heart, trust in the Lord. And you cannot understand your own understanding. He must recognize him in your way, and he must direct your way.”

The 2021 Youth Theme “Great Works” was born from Doctrine and Contract 64:33-34.

The theme for youth in 2020 was “Go and Do” from 1 Nephi 3:7.
