President Donald Trump later Wednesday called for an investigation into former President Joe Biden’s cognitive decline, including executive orders and other actions signed through the autopen during the presidency.
The move, which the Washington Post said, was “an unprecedented demand that in theory it could undermine thousands of Biden’s enforcement actions and pardons.”
But that lies in the second half of Biden’s term in an unprecedented number of pardons and commutations. His son, Hunter itself, includes unprecedented moves for the US president to make — and ensures that these decisions prolong questions about how much mental abilities the mental abilities “signed” by him had.

The order continued to note that Biden’s recent state revelations in his presidency proved “severe cognitive decline.”
The Justice Department refused to request Biden to retain the classification material based on his lack of basic details of the event’s timeline regarding his late son, his election in 2016, and developments from the 2017 vice presidential position.
The order also seemed to nod towards the recent books of Jake Tupper and Alex Thompson. This argued that the “politics” of his close aides protected the then president from the circumstances that his decline revealed.
“Annual advisor at Biden’s office severely restricted his appearances in newspaper conferences and media, and they scripted conversations with lawmakers, government officials and donors, covering up the fact that everyone was unable to perform their duties,” the order read.
“Despite these well-documented issues, the White House has issued more than 1,200 presidential documents, appointed 235 judges to the federal bench, and issued more pardons and commutes than any administration in US history.” “For example, just two days before Christmas in 2024, the White House announced that Biden had notified the sentence of 37 of the 40 most despicable and suspicious offenders on federal death row inmates, including several child murderers and mass murderers.”
Therefore, both the U.S. Attorney General and the Presidential Attorney “we shall investigate whether certain individuals have deceived the public about Biden’s mental state and conspiracy to exercise responsibility with the president’s authorities unconstitutional.”
This includes “it was believed to have carried out numerous enforcement actions during Biden’s final year in office: a policy document in which the autopen was used, including generous grants, executive orders, presidential memorandums or other presidential policy decisions.

“Autonpen” is the name of a device that has been used in the White House in various outfits since Harry Truman’s administration.
Roughly speaking, it uses mechanical means to paste the president’s signature with actual ink using duplicate files. By the time of Obama’s administration, the devices had been upgraded to digital forms, and “we could store multiple signature files digitally on an SD card. This means that a single device could replicate everything from John Hancock’s John Hancock to Barack Obama.”
In 2005, the Department of Justice’s Legal Advisory Office issued the opinion that automating enforcement actions and laws is acceptable, as the president does not need to personally sign all documents to be legally valid. However, that opinion did not address whether the president was neutralised.
The investigation comes right after a particularly bad month for the former president and those around him, in terms of news related to his mental and physical faculty during his tenure.

Just before Tapper and Thompson’s book unveiled the full scope of Biden’s allegedly cover-up of cognitive decline, there was an announcement of the slow-growing, easily detectable metastatic form of cancer.
This was followed immediately by a previously unknown Secret Service whistleblower complaint. He told Missouri Republican Sen. Josh Hawley, “Biden was lost in the closet on his mornings at the White House – whether he called another Liech, not in a Philosophical way, called “whether he literally couldn’t enforce it at the White House residence.”
On his part, Biden defended his state of mind when he used the autopen in a statement late Wednesday.
“Let me be clear, I made a decision during the presidency,” Biden said. “I have made decisions on pardons, executive orders, laws and declarations.
