President Donald Trump said Monday that people were angry at the image that people recently shared on social media, which the Pope portrayed him as “unable to joke about.”

To announce plans to bring the 2027 NFL Draft to Washington at a White House press conference, Trump responded to a reporter who claimed that “some Catholics aren’t that happy with your image that appears to be near you.”

Trump replied, “Doesn’t you mean you can’t joke?”

“You don’t mean Catholics. You mean fake news media,” he added. “The Catholics loved it.”

Trump revealed that he “has nothing to do with that.”

“Someone made a picture of me dressed like the Pope and they put it on the internet. It’s not me who did it, I don’t know who it came from.

“I just saw it last night. In fact, my wife thought it was cute. She said, ‘Isn’t that good?’ ”

Trump has admitted that he cannot become Pope because he “cannot marry” if he gets a job. Trump is not Catholic, but Melania Trump has nurtured Catholicism.

Reporters expressed concern that the image “issued on the White House account even if AI was generated,” and was nothing more than a “joking” and a “meme.” She asked, “Are you going to go out of that particular account by reducing the contents of your official White House account at all?”

“Someone did it while having fun,” he replied. “We have to have a little fun, right?”

The image in question was shared on the White House X account on Friday after the president posted to Truth Society that day. It depicts Trump sitting on the Pope’s throne wearing his pope clothes and holding his fingers with his fingers.

Trump’s image is dressed as a resentment to the Pope and its response as the Roman Catholic Church’s Pope remains vacant following the death of Pope Francis at the age of 88.

The Conclave is scheduled to begin Wednesday, where members of Cardinal of University will begin working to elect the next Pope. Because the vote could make several votes, and for several days you will need to become the Pope to secure two-thirds of the Cardinals’ support.

Several members of Cardinal of College are seen to be likely to emerge from the Conclave, just like the new successors of St. Peter and the Bishop of Rome, but the candidates may remain unknown for quite some time, as members of the Medicinal do not allow the Cardinals to watch them engage in deliberations. The Cardinals vote in secret votes and continue to vote until one candidate reaches the two-thirds of support threshold.
