About this story
“The tone sin of Jesus Christ Provides the ultimate rescue” Elder Quentin L. Cook | Quorum General Meeting for the 12-day Apostless Day Morning Session in April 2025.
overview
Elder Cook dedicated his contribution to Casper Wyoming Temple in November 2024. The temple’s devotion became a clear focus, “focusing on the role the temple plays in saving God’s children through the tone sin of the Savior.” Eight of these limb companies experienced little surprise success and death. However, Willie and Martin’s handcart companies in 1856 were facing challenges brought about by a serious blizzard. The temple is art depicting the scenery that these handheld companies travel to. It “showed the beauty of the creation of the Lord as well as the challenges faced by the pioneers in that horrific winter season.” When God’s children face great challenges, the tone sin of Jesus Christ “saves us from the storms of life.” It began after President Brigham Young announced a handcart plan aimed at making immigrants more affordable for others. A missionary in England said, after hearing the plan, “The poor saints jumped up with joy and joy.” Most handcart saints avoided major adverse events, but Willie and Martin’s shelves company were too late, experiencing hunger, frozen and experienced many deaths. About 200 people died along the trail, but many more would have died without the necessary assistance. These pioneer accounts explain the devastating challenges after the storm began and the great joy of the rescuers when they arrived. Like Elder Cook’s great grandfather, rescuers spent hours in the frigid waters, heroically helping businesses. The journey was challenging, but President James E. Faust said such sophisticated experiences were part of the cleansing process “to become familiar with God.” The Savior’s tone sin offers memories of the tone sin and it provides for its deceased loved ones and farther away ancestors to overcome and rescue. His tone sin is the key to the plan of happiness, “providing the ultimate rescue from the challenges faced in this life.”

Speaker quotes
“In the world of great beauty, there is also a great challenge. When we turn to Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world, he saves us from the storm of life through his tone sin according to the Father’s plan.
Reference Bible
“And God broke the belt of death and won victory over death. He gave the power to intercession for his son’s children – ascended into heaven, with guts of mercy, standing with them in justice. He besieges them in justice, but not exercises his faith in repentance, brings a great eternal plan of redemption only to him, who has faith in repentance.”
Invitations and promises
“First, don’t underestimate the importance of doing what you can to save others from physical and especially mental challenges.” “Second, I appreciate and accept the tone sin of the Savior. I appreciate the tone sin of the Savior. We should all strive to show joy and happiness even in the face of the challenges of life. “My third lawyer is to make sure I have consistent time to faithfully reflect on the tone sin of the Savior.
story
Willie and Martin’s handcart company experienced tragedy while moving to Salt Lake Valley. Hundreds of people died, others suffered from cold and inadequate food. Eventually saved by rescuers sent by President Brigham Young, those who arrived in Utah were “great greetings and welcomed to the Saints’ houses.” John and Maria Linford, along with their three sons, were members of the Willie Company, hoping to appear on Salt Lake. Waiting for help, John died hours before the first rescuer arrived. He knew he wasn’t going to make it there, but he expressed his gratitude to his wife for the journey. “I should not live to reach Salt Lake,” he said. “But you and the boys will. And if our boys can grow up and raise a family in Zion, we will not regret everything we have experienced.” Spending time in the frigid waters, they bravely helped the company create a sweetwater crossing.
From the footnote
2. I realized the tragedy I faced with Willie and Martin’s company and the tragedy I faced when I was very young. My great grandfather, David Patten Kimball, was part of the Salt Lake Valley team that President Brigham Young sent to save these saints. On July 23, 1994, President Gordon B. Hinckley dedicated the Rock Creek Hollow Monument to pay tribute to the faithful saint who died on a trekking in Rocky Ridge. President Robert Scott Lorimer accompanied President Hinckley with dedication. As the stake president of the Riverton Wyoming Stake, he played a central role in identifying and overseeing historical and spiritual behavior for those who had experienced the tragedy. My grandfather, Crozier, son of David Patten, taught me an important lesson. He emphasizes that David is chasing the prophet, and we should follow the prophet’s advice in our time.
