The health of “Duck Dynasty” Patriarch Phil Robertson is declining rapidly, according to a recent update from her son Jace Robertson, who hosts the podcast, “I’m embarrassed with the Robertson family.”

“(I) will tell you the truth,” Jace Robertson said, “It wasn’t good.”

Young Robertson says the focus is to make sure he is comfortable and provide the 78-year-old Phil Robertson with the best possible care.

Jace Robertson said in a previous interview that doctors compare blood disorders to the form of cancer.

As Phil Robertson’s decline continued, Jace Robertson said he was becoming more and more transparent with his family and friends about his father’s health.

“I’m just giving you a dull truth,” he said. “I say ‘Not good.’ We make them comfortable and we do everything we can.

Willie Robertson explained that his father struggles to maintain a healthy appetite, and that he often cooks burgers and crayfish in the hopes of his father giving him a meal.

Their mother, Kay Robertson, is beginning to show signs of recovery after recent hospitalizations from infections caused by falls. Of course, her case put an additional stress on the Robertson family.

Initially they believed that the family head might not recover. Jace Robertson admitted, “We were dealing with the fact that this is probably the case.” But her health is now improving.

“For my mother, she wasn’t doing really well, so the last week has been so much better,” Jace Robertson told the podcast. “She got infected from a fall from a previously happened cut… She’s still in the hospital, but (now) physically and trying to feed her.”

Phil Robertson has been a cultural genius since 2012, when he debuted as a key star in the A&E reality TV series “Duck Dynasty,” following the Robertson family. Elder Robertson has a reputation for sharing the gospel boldly.

For example, when he first met President Donald Trump, Phil Robertson shared the gospel with him and ran around on paper through details of his faith.

Recalling his interactions with Christian podcaster Ally Beth Stucky, Phil Robertson said, “When I first met Donald Trump… I wrote this on paper and said, ‘What happened?’

He continued, “I said, “There is a cross. Jesus died on the cross.” I said, “For the sins of the world.” I said, “You have sin, right?”

“What did he say?” I asked Stucky.

“He said, ‘A lot of them,'” Phil Robertson recalled. “I said, too. I said, ‘They put him in the grave.’ I said, “Trump what’s going to happen?” – I said, “We’re the same age, we’re not that long – we’re in the 70s.” I said, “Trump, we’re going to die, we’ll be six feet below, and I’ll be like that too.” He said, “There’s no doubt about that.” I said, “Jesus was raised from the dead.

Phil Robertson told Trump that in his lead-up to his first presidency he intended to vote for the Republican candidate. He told Trump, “You need to think seriously about it and give your life to Jesus, because it is greater than the presidency. … You can have immortality.”

Continue to pray for the Robertson family.
