Provo, Utah – Sister Amy A. Wright, the first counselor of the major presidency and members of the Missionary Executive Council oversaw the mission leaders of the 2025 seminar for new mission leaders to lawyers for President Russell M. Nelson from the October 2024 General Assembly.

In his account, President Nelson said, “We have invited you to rededicate your life to Jesus Christ, …to gather scattered Israel and … to prepare the world for the Lord’s Second Coming.

Speaking at the Provo Missionary Training Centre at the Church of Jesus Christ for Latter-day Saints on Thursday, June 19, Sister Wright explored these prophetic invitations, how they relate to temple blessings, and how they can be encouraged to fulfill missionary purposes.

“Rededicate your life to Jesus Christ”

“The mission is a sacred microcosm for change, an opportunity for young men and women to devote their lives more fully to Jesus Christ in a natural, deep and personal way,” Sister Wright said.

One of the most important ways to strengthen long-term conversions of missionaries is to establish a pattern of worship in the temple, she said. “It starts with the high of our missionaries in mind, and starts at the house of the Lord.”

“Please help me gather the scattered Israel.”

My Gospels say, “The gospel of Jesus Christ is for God’s children. The Bible teaches God that “all the same.” He invites everything and invites him to come to his goodness.

Family: The Declaration to the World also teaches that “the sacred rituals and covenants available in sacred temples allow individuals to return to God’s existence and allow their families to unite forever.”

The Wright sisters said: “The missionary serves the purpose of the mission when it begins with in mind by inviting others to baptize and to make and maintain a sacred covenant in the Lord’s house.”

“Preparing the world for the Lord’s Second Coming”

Sister Wright said the power of piety that comes from making and maintaining a sacred covenant “will help us navigate our challenges and prepare us for the Lord’s Second Coming.”

Throughout history, God’s people have built temples. He continues to order the saints to build temples today, according to Sister Wright.

“With high in mind, as we love, share and invite, we will better understand the sacred role we can play in helping our brothers and sisters move on with our Heavenly Father’s plan of salvation.”

“Christ’s story, his testimony, his faith in him, and rejoice in him.”

Sister Wright shared the story of a family that was recently baptized. She said that when they entered the house of the Lord right after their baptism, they expanded their vision regarding the eternal nature of God’s children.

“This is the fruit of what starts with respect in mind. We support new members to obtain temple recommendations immediately after baptism and extend invitations for certain times to implement the mandate ordinance for our ancestors, so they are five times more likely to receive their donations.”

“Come to Christ and offer him your whole soul.”

The Lord always invites, Sister Wright said.

“We are not simply going to the Lord’s house. We are coming to the Lord’s house,” she said. “This is a personal invitation to come to our heavenly Father and Savior, Jesus Christ.”

She said that when missionaries begin with elevation in mind, their focus will naturally be on Jesus Christ and his holy house.

When the first stocks were organized in the Tanzania country earlier this year, the main children sang the song “I want to see a temple,” but changed the phrase “I live to see a temple. I’ll go there someday.”
