President Russell M. Nelson shared his testimony of Jesus Christ on Easter Sunday morning and celebrated the Savior’s resurrection through a montage of messages he shared at the General Conference over the past 40 years.

2. After Pope Francis’ death, the presidency expresses sadness
The first presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints expressed his sadness on Monday, April 21st, following the death of Pope Francis, head of the Catholic Church.
“We are deeply grateful for the goodness of life that we have lived well,” the first president said.

5. Latter-day Saints celebrate Easter through city carpets, service, Jesus Christ’s art shows, concerts and testimony

Members of the Latter-day Saint Church of Jesus Christ helped create “city carpet” artwork in the city of Guatemala. In Costa Rica, Latter-day Saints participated in the service of the Pagans. The full-time missionary in Honduras sang at a Holy Week concert. Stocks in Alberta, Canada have held an art show that includes over 100 submissions from local artists. Then there was a concert celebrating Jesus Christ.
Young people from Argentina, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay shared their savior and their testimony. BYU athletes, coaches and teams shared a Christ-centric Easter message on social media.

7. Elder Gilbert encourages more than 7,100 BYU alumni to “become a light” while fully engaged in the community
On Thursday, April 24th, Elder Clark G. Gilbert, Director General, 70, spoke at the start of Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah in the winter of 2025. He encouraged graduates to live with faithful courage and actively engage in their community.

8. Like Kite’s strings, “We need a stable connection of commandments,” says President Meredith.

During the April 22nd Campus Prayer, President Alvin F. Meredith III of BYU-IDAHO invited students to fully commit to the commandment “with all the love and compassion I can offer” and to renew their commitment to abide by the Honor Code, including temporary aspects found in dress and grooming expectations.

9. Temple News at Eket, Nigeria, Alabama and Huntsville

The Church of Jesus Christ, Latter-day Saints, has announced the future location of the Eckett Nigerian Temple, the fourth home of the Lord in Nigeria.
The first presidency also announced exterior renderings of the Huntsville Alabama Temple, the second temple in the state.

10. Latter-day Saint Artist lifts his hanging hands in a new exhibition.”
On Thursday, April 24th, the Church History Museum presented its exhibits with 150 works of art. Art, created by artists around the world, portrays the call to “take over the weak, lift hanging hands, strengthen weak knees” (Doctrine and Covenant 81:5).
The entrance to view the exhibition is free to the public during the museum’s opening hours.
