Previous Worldwide Young Adult Prayer
In a global prayer for young people on February 2nd, Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf, a quorum of the 12 Apostles, said the answer to heaven was worth the wait.
“You may not be able to see it until much later, but you will turn around and know that the Lord never abandoned you, even if you let yourself make many decisions for yourself,” he said. “Take his path and follow his path and you see the dots connect.”
On November 3, 2024, Elder David A. Bednar, a quorum of 12 Apostles, counselled young adults about technology in a global prayer broadcast from the BYU-Idaho campus, accumulating directly in his May 2009 “Actually Things” speech.
He spoke about the potential impact of artificial intelligence, the importance of moral institutions, and the importance of the right work.
“The warning voice I raised in 2009 was serious, emphasised and urgent as the dangers and possibilities of technology emerged that we were discussing,” Elder Bednar said. “That was at the time. The warning voices I raise today are more serious, more emphasising and even more urgent, because the technology we are discussing is everywhere, so it’s always everywhere.
Carlos A. Godoy spoke in a global prayer about how he sees the existence of his beloved Heavenly Father’s guidance and protection hands throughout his life in his lifetime in his dedication to young adults on May 5, 2024.
“We couldn’t see it back then, but we can look back and see it now,” Elder Godoy said.
On Sunday, February 18, 2024, Elder Soares of the 12 Apostles addressed the concerns of young adults around the world by teaching them about the Savior and his tone sin. Global prayers for young adults came from Mexico City, Mexico.
Elder Soares said that individuals need not be perfect or worried to feel the perfect love of God.
“The space between his arms has been consecrated through his loving, a sacrifice as a place for us,” he said. “What a wonderful way to find peace in this extremely miserable world.”
